Probably still salty about hipcheck_goalie's post about him:
"Big Jeff Carter. I hated him, literally loathed, and then he arrived in Pittsburgh... I struggled to like him last year. How dare he trade in that putrid orange jersey for the black and gold... yes I know he came from LA but I didn't care... there was no way I could ever like him" - jmatchett383
Hipcheck should give Carter a break. He and Hexy are the poster children for the Flyers' wall of shame. The dudes in orange are hating on 'em. Meanwhile, they are looking at 47 years of SC futility ...

Oh I know. And he’s acting as if he has any idea of what actually happened. - Feds91Stammer
I listened to Sullivan actually say the words “Carter took a lot of defensive responsibilities down low” during the post game on my way home. I’m strictly referencing the head coach of the team. But hey WatCh tHe GaME!! |

You're reaching Aussie territory. Dude would read the box score and shape his opinions from there.

Hilarious that it's an opinion that actually has to come from watching the game lol if anyone watched the game, they would have seen Geno falling back into the defensive role in zone, unless of course Carter was first forward back on the rush but that's hockey 101. |

The funniest part is admitting he didn’t watch the game. He’s just triggered that Geno had a good game. |

So triggered that he has to defend a coach that he regularly tries to poop on. |

Did you listen to the post game? There were literally like 5 questions asking if Carter was there to help shelter Malkins responsibilities and Sullivan said yes to every one. Especially face offs where Malkin sucks at. And it’s not hard to believe that Carters going to routinely beat Malkin back into the zone. But hey you guys seem to be having fun. |

“That was part of the thought process in putting (Carter) on (Malkin’s) line,” coach Mike Sullivan said to media in Anaheim on Tuesday. “He’s a real good defensive player. He’s good on faceoffs. He’s a right-hand shot. He can take them on his backhand on the right side. (Malkin), we weren’t sure if he was going to be comfortable in the faceoffs. It’s been a long time since he’s taken a faceoff in a hockey game. We wanted to make sure that we surrounded (Malkin) with the right people that could help him have success."
“He has chemistry with (Kapanen) offensively. (Carter) brings kind of a defensive conscience to that line with the ability to play center and take faceoffs, play down low if we need him to. But he also has a scoring touch as we saw in the first period. That was part of the thought process going into the line combination (Tuesday night).”
Carter took faceoff's because Malkin hasn't in a long time. He was used as a compliment to Malkin, not to take his responsibilities hence the "if we need him to". I think your bias is showing a bit. |

No poop. When you’re the slowest guy on the ice, you’re not going to get too deep into the offensive zone on the rush lol pretty obvious Kap and Geno are going to do the majority of the forechecking. |

You’re pretty thick headed today. Sullivan said himself part of the Carter-Malkin assignment was to shelter Malkin, like 5 times. Carters 1st goal he was the only guy on the forecheck. Got anything else? |

Jesse Marshall is one of the best play by play analysts for the Athletic and he called it out early on in the game. |

I think it’s funny that the guy that wants to play Malkin on the 1st line with the best center in the world is viewed as biased because you just can’t ever say anything about Malkin if it isn’t all sparkles and rainbows. |

You mean after Geno and Kap double teamed the guy in the corner to retrieve that rebound, to dump around the back of the net?
Yeah. “Only guy on the forecheck.”

No, your bias is that Malkin is too lazy to play center and that he is a wing, when his entire career says other wise. It's why you are claiming Sullivan said he put Carter there to "take the center responsibilities" when what Sullivan actually said was that he put him there to take faceoffs because Malkin hasn't done so in a long time. |

My bias is that malkin just had knee surgery, and Carter is a better defensive player. You’re proving my point. Sparkles and ponies for Geno. |

He put Hagelin on Geno's wing to help shelter Malkin defensively too, that doesn't mean Hagelin was taking the majority of center responsibilities. What you're getting clowned on is claiming Carter was the functional center because he took face-offs. |
