Anyone who pays taxes in NY state, as I do, helps pay for it. And, FFS, why is it so terrible to use tax dollars to build something for middle class people?

Am I to understand America only works for you if you're very rich or very poor? With all due respect, (frank) that garbage position we so often acquiesce to.

- lacaprup

Well you won't be here when the Stadium is in full swing, thought you said you were moving to Florida. And it's not just taxes. It's the PSL's you're gonna have to pay to even get Season Tickets. You might just be pricing out that middle class.

Fair.

It will never not bother me, and I only watch NFL on TV. It's a point of civic pride to me when you see those stadiums on the screen. It's almost like an area saying "this is our shrine to the middle class." Football is the most middle class thing in America. Don't make our temple a dump.

Except it's not, not really. The median household income in Atlanta is $66K, pre-tax, which is like $46K after taxes. The average ticket price in Atlanta last year was $106. Want to take your family of 4? $424 on tickets(certainly more than that once you pay all the bullpoop fees), at least $20 for parking, then concessions add at least another $100. $550 for 3 hours of entertainment is a lot of scratch for the middle class. You can get cheaper tickets, sure, that's just the average, but do you really want to sit with all the drunk bumholes in the upper deck with your kids?

Edit: They should absolutely build a dome, but let's not pretend it's some sort of shrine to the middle class.

Now, like I said, I watch NFL on TV. Do people bring kids? I wouldnt bring a kid under 16 to an NFL game non kids day.
It's expensive for the middle class, but if you're die hards you can afford that. Also, even in ATL an NFL game is more than a 3hour experience. Im sure they have SOME tailgate.

Edit: When I grew up, the Times we could afford to go to Saber games we always sat in the oranges. Sometimes you have to sit high.

Also, does that income figure include suburbs of ATL? It's obvious it doesnt.

So basically you want a shrine that you don't have to help pay for.
- Buff36

Wants to complain about something that he's never gonna use.

Wants the stadium to be better in time to move to Florida, just so it looks like buffalo's middle class has money?

Very confusing

I disagree, and Ive just come to this opinion. I used to hate the idea of funding a dome or any other type of stadium. But, look at who goes to football games. They're us. They're regular (frank)ing people. At least 8 times a year, 60,000+ regular WNYers and Ontarians can go sit in a world class environment and see a spectacle. At the same time, WNYers like me watching on TV can beam with pride that we look great in front of the nation and world again, and again, and again. (Regardless of how bad the team could theoretically become)

And, yes, at the same time a really rich couple get a state funded money making dome. I can't let that spite me from getting the best for WNY.

Atlanta has the cheapest concessions in the league. Arthur blank wanted it that way.

You can feed a family of 4 for 30 bucks.
4 hot dogs, 4 sides, 4 cokes for $30.

It doesn’t have to be expensive, if the Pegulas make it that way it’s because they want money.

It's not really. You can boil it down to this: i'd rather look at the Basilica than a pile of poop every Sunday. Not very confusing. I also feel Bills fans deserve the best. Also, not confusing.

Everyone has there opinions Boss, would a Dome be nice, Sure, but I don't need one. I Love the Ralph, yeah I'm old and probably why. But I just want a good view, I'm there to watch football not eat a $25 dollar Steak Sandwich.

Again, Atlanta built an amazing palace with amazing views. I’ve been to the stadium a few times. It’s amazing.

PSLs started at $500.

They have 1.50 hot dogs. Refillable cokes are like 5 bucks.

It doesn’t have to be expensive.

What's with the focus on Atlanta? Doesn't it make sense to look at a city with a little more in common with Buffalo?

It's just an example of a beautiful stadium that we can't have because we're Buffalo apparently

My personal anger at this issue comes from the artist renderings released by pagula sports entertainment which were one more insulting than the next.

The best seats still have excellent sightlines.
I'm like you, play good football. Save the food and beer prices for the unprepared.

I just sold my ticket for Saturday's game. Too cold.

A dome would be nice, I still think they should have built a duel sport stadium. Sabres and Bill's....

Dome attacks soccer I imagine as well.

If we got the 2025 equivalent of either of those 2 stadiums I would be overjoyed.

The more money from taxes put towards the Stadium means higher PSL's. And the Stadium in Atlanta was originally slated to cost 950m dollars but ended up costing 1.4b by the time it was finished. I love the Bill's but I don't think 2b dollars needs to be spent on a new stadium.

Correct. The cost was because they had to keep re-engineering the toilet bowl opening.

Scrap that and it’s 950 mil.

Now that does bring in to question. How did that palace cost 1.4 bil but the new Bills stadium non domed, smaller with less bells and whistles is just as expensive?

Also taxes and PSLs have nothing to do with each other.
