Correct. The cost was because they had to keep re-engineering the toilet bowl opening.

Scrap that and it’s 950 mil.

Now that does bring in to question. How did that palace cost 1.4 bil but the new Bills stadium non domed, smaller with less bells and whistles is just as expensive?

Also taxes and PSLs have nothing to do with each other.

- ImThatGuy

Buffalo inflation. And PSL's go into bonds that help cover tax money used in funding
Edit: Never mind your right about PSL's.

That's what I'm thinking. If it feels comparable, I don't see much to complain about. Jax also on the list.
- Lunaion

I was going to say Jax as well.

I think cinci probably has a Similar structural impact.

The keybank center is a 3 out of 10
The ralph is probably a 7.5

Flat out dirty and needs some serious attention.

Your gonna get new and better, doesn't mean it needs a dome.
- Buff36

The NFL Schedule is 18 weeks long and going to get longer in the future. January weather is freezing cold. See the last few games and the last few weeks.

Fans don’t want to freeze. The attendance the last few home games proves that. Yes, I’m sure on paper. It sold out. But the people in attendance was NOT great.

When 50% of your upper deck is missing. That isn’t good.

A retractable roof / dome is necessary.

We skip out on the dome for an extra 400 mill.

10 years from now. That 400 mill roof is now over a billion

Buffalo could’ve had a Lucas oil stadium years ago for 600-700 mill

2022. We are paying 1.4 billion for a basic waste of stadium

A ? for you, do you have season tickets. Again this is my opinion I don't need a dome. Either you buy tickets or you don't. I have season's, have had them for a long time. I want to keep them but I don't want to have to pay 4,000 dollars just to be able to get them. The more money spent the more it will cost for season tickets. Just give me a decent place to watch football.

Not looking forward to the PSL, but they did say they're going to make them the cheapest in the league.

Atlanta has the cheapest concessions in the league. Arthur blank wanted it that way.

You can feed a family of 4 for 30 bucks.
4 hot dogs, 4 sides, 4 cokes for $30.

It doesn’t have to be expensive, if the Pegulas make it that way it’s because they want money.

- ImThatGuy

That's awesome, but you're still looking at like $500, and it's an anomaly. That's still 13% of the median monthly income.

And I know I'm mixing replies here, but I'm too lazy to make a separate post.

The US median household income pre-tax is $67,521, slightly above ATL. In NYS after taxes it's $44,150, so right around what it is for ATL; GA as a whole is at $40,738, so no it's probably not much higher in the ATL burbs. Building a palace is not building a shrine to the middle class. The upper middle class and the well off, sure, but regular working stiffs would find it hard to justify spending that much to go to a game.

$500 to bring a family of four. ×8 is $4,000 a year. If you split a season with another family it's very easily done. If you're frugal it's reasonable for even a middle class family.

Also, Let's not pretend a significant portion of any NFL stadium isn't filled with 20 to 30 year old men and women who have plenty of disposable income and no children. Thoroughly middle class people.

That doesn't include other costs like PSL's. Not trying to be a d!ck, but you talk like it shouldn't be to expensive for people but yet you don't by those season tickets. If it's not a big deal then everyone that can buy tickets should have to pay towards the PSL's even if you don't have seasons. You know then people can watch from home and see that shrine and know that they helped totally pay for that palace.

Watching other games really makes one think the Sabres are the softest team in the league. Gotta hope with all these picks they add some much needed toughness.

Agreed, 0% hard to play against, And that's not a first round talent issue. Losing has consequences. Go lottery balls!

Except you are the one pointing it out like its some sort of accomplishment.

Utter nonsense is what you post. Telling people they shouldn't vent on a message board.

The best seats still have excellent sightlines.
I'm like you, play good football. Save the food and beer prices for the unprepared.

I just sold my ticket for Saturday's game. Too cold.

A dome would be nice, I still think they should have built a duel sport stadium. Sabres and Bill's....

Dome attacks soccer I imagine as well.

- Boss34

Plus a dome gets the most out of Josh Allen. His stats take a dramatic drop in freezing weather games.

I don't buy those tickets because i choose not to go to NFL, not because I can't afford them, and I'm middle class. Im not a Sabre season ticket holder, but most years I spend well over $4,000 on the 15 - 20 games I go to per season (tbh, I stopped at 4 games this sesson and wont go again unless im given a ticket).

You tell us after Saturday how many empty seats there are in the upper bowl. You can buy a ticket right now for $28 for a home playoff game for a team primed to go to the Superbowl....and not because WNYers cant afford to go.
