We sucked with him to the point we have Dahlin and Power, failed with two legit players in RoR and EK, divided our own fanbase in a way i think is unrivaled in team history, ran through 4 coaches, and he's still to prove he's not going to be an injury prone player like he has been as a pro.

to answer your question, if they could not build a team around a superstar center they sure as hell are not going to build a team lacking one.

No they woke up on the wrong side of the bed and forgot what happened 6 months ago.

They expected our AHL players to be able to compete with the Stanley Cup Champs.

And 22 to win a franking playoff game.

Not 1 year not 10 years not 11 years. 17 years.

Once you got back and Won though it clearly cured your sorrows

Really? Tore what down? They didn't make the playoffs for 17 years... Was there anything to even tare down?

5 of 17 years they had a .500 or above record. 2 of those years they finished 9-7. 1 of those years they had a player win an award...

Not much to tare down if you ask me.
