you would hope.
i hope he has clearer timelines though. for the next two years, the future simply does not matter. i dont care if the logic or numbers say move malkin/letang and try to recoup assets to make a painful rebuild potentially less so. its going to suck anyway. enjoy this last year or two. when it ends, it ends. at that point, dont worry about toeing the line between now and future. draft and develop and if it isnt bolted to the floor, strip and sell. no need for moves like signing JVR etc. - stayinthefnnet
Ya the window is closing …but it’s not closed yet. It’s been a hell of a run with the whole Crosby Malkin era.
I noticed Hart wearing the floppy neck protector.
Was it mentioned during the broadcast?
I am assuming it is in response to a horrific tragedy in a high school game in New Canaan, CT last week. - GeorgeBailey
You mean the plastic dangler off the mask? He’s always worn that.

I have every expectation that we will get to 10 losses again. Two 10 game losing streaks. Wow. - Hextall271
if you go even further back the wins were against NJ and Arizona

what does get it done necessarily mean though?
the move right now should still be to try to win. however, thats a long shot with the team. odds are, another cup isnt coming. then it becomes a longggg march through the desert with very little water. they wont be competitive again for a while. if any organization was set up to be receptive to a "five plus year plan", it should be them. - stayinthefnnet
I think they’ll give it another shot…then who knows what path they’ll take, but I assume Hexy will again focus on building through the draft.

Yeah boyyyyyyyy it’s 6 in a rowwwwwww, rowwwwwww, rowwwwww.
7 in a row on Saturday. - PLindbergh31
Hey they’ve had some crazy injuries, and that whole Covid thing. They need some time to gel. Hopefully we can get healthy and then we can accurately assess.

Tough spot but you owe it to Crosby to try and win. The smart move, which the fans won't accept might be to blow it up after this year.

i dont think you are wrong. the math to me would seem to say blow it up. however, i would emphatically not do that. the legacies are worth more than potentially recouping some assets.
when the music stops, give hexy the keys and a blank slate. allow him to do what in my opinion he wasnt really permitted to do in philly.
I was very hopeful that they could tie it up in the end, but no. Another Flyers loss with 2 or fewer goals scored.
I saw that Allison is a possibility to return to play. Maybe we see him up this time. Other options on the Phantoms include Sandin. There is no good reason not to give him a good look and that includes seeing if he can do anything in front on the PP. It is not like there is so much finishing going on now.
So I respect Clarke as a great player. I think his heart overrides his head and he gives his opinion freely. What he doesn’t realize when he believes he’s trying to protect the org is that but airing this dirty laundry in public, he’s actually tarnishing the org in the way you mention. - Hextall271
The comments did nothing good and change nothing as anyone might suspect. The root issue being you have to let go of things and turn the page. It’s such a bad look to attack a fellow Flyer (even one currently with the enemy Penguins).

Maybe the Flyers can just identify as a play-off team!

What is going on in Chicago? There reviewing a goal that should count because puck went in after net came out off its moorings or at least how I saw it. Than Canadiens challenged an offside, which the puck very much looked offside but they lost the challenge. Hawks win. I’m in a loud bar so many I’m missing something but the Habs looked like they got screwed over there.
