They will hopefully get a decent return for Ristolainen if they decide to move him. Word out of Boston is that they are very unhappy he is not playing.

I enjoy watching Farabee and York play and think both will be above average players. Star though? Hart is likely the closest thing there. His numbers are pretty good for a guy playing behind a team that is this bad.
- BiggE

Kinda don't get the feeling anymore that Hart will ever be a top-5 or even a top-10 goalie in the league. He still hasn't found that level of consistency and swagger that you think of with the true top netminders.

When all is said and done, I think he's probably an average to above-average starter. Definitely something you can build around, but he's not gonna carry a bad team anywhere for long.

The 23 year old stud…definitely too soon to say not a top tier guy. Potential is there.

I disagree, teams been a complete mess. He started this year very strong. In the bubble playoffs he stood on his head as well. Maybe not top 5 but I can surely see top 10.

If they ever put a quality team in front of him, watch what happens with this kid.

The days old fish'n'chips, wrapped in the days old Daily Mirror, has made the old dearie ever so very constipated.

Give your old dearie a good belly rub. That helps.

What do you expect Clarke to do? Put up two fingers behind his head and give him rabbit ears for the photo?

I had some correspondence with Jay back in the late 70's... he was brutally honest about some hockey writers with me (out of town) I do miss him a lot

Nobody is smiling as big as Clarke. Not even Patrick, and that should be the happiest day of Patrick’s life.

1) The story has been known for years. It really isn't news.

2) The photo looks like every draft photo ever taken. It's autopilot mode.

Has Patrick ever smiled other than that day? Dude looked miserable most of his time in Philly. Seems like pro hockey is truly a job to him....or was a job to him.

You're kidding right ? It was a photo op, for team marketing. Clarke always is going to do what the team needs at the moment. And at that time, he was being a good soldier for the camera.

This. Would love to have seen him play in the olympics. I think he would surprise. We’ll probably trade him if he’s not a Mega star by next year and sign an overrated ufa.

Agreed! I was really hoping to see him as the #1 goalie for team Canada in the Olympics. All that talent, but also tons of pressure. Would have been an interesting spectacle for Flyers folks and possibly could have propelled him to the next level if he helped bring Canada the gold medal.

I am cheering for them to lose as many games as possible. Get a top 5 pick. Sell sole assets and stockpile 1st round picks.
To me, cam Atkinson is a good piece to keep around for the youth. He plays hard every night and I am hoping that that type of hustle becomes infectious to this beaten down team next season.
This season is already done. Let's pile assets and picks

That's great news! If this kid can stay healthy he is what this team needs right now.
We need something to change this losing culture of hopelessness
Plus who doesn't need another ginger on this team, am I right?!

Bill that’s the second time in recent days that you mentioned “the story has been known for years”.

The question as to why Patrick was the #2 pick has been debated for years on this page. Is there some reason why “the story” was never confirmed by you. Or did I miss it?
