Penguins lost 6-2

Hurricanes lost 6-0

Tom on twitter boasted to me that both of those teams have a lot of games in hand on the Rangers

if you are reading Tom, games in hand dont automatically mean wins

You know it’s a good season when guys like Greco, Gettinger, Brodzinski are playing and we’re still winning games

What a game for Schneider. He did a little bit of everything and all of it was very good. Have to figure Nils days are numbered as Ranger, or possibly Jones

Miller didn't have an abysmal game, so that's nice. It would be a lot easier to like him if he used his size. Seeing him lighten up on a hit is such a waste. He's probably really good at petting kittens and knitting sweaters for his fruit. When a good game for a player is defined as not having 5 turn overs which sometimes lead to goals, it's time for the AHL.

Greco looked fast and got to all the right places - I wouldn't mind if he got another look. He kinda reminded me a little bit of Callahan.

Schneider - Wow. Stay as long as you like. His play was very impressive before he even scored.

Chytil is sloooowly getting more noticeable which is nice to see.

What does that even mean? Who gives a (frank). Rangers can win anywhere at anytime like few teams can. They don’t even need home ice advantages

Well, to be fair, Carolina is the best in the division to this point. Giving up right around 2 goals a game. Pitt on the other hand had to go on a big run just to get into 3rd.
Regardless, we are looking real good!!
I don't see any team we don't stand a good chance against in a 7 game series. But, if we end up matched up with Carolina it should be one hell of a series!

So much to unpack here:

1) Rangers get back to their winning ways on the road

2) Shesty with his 2nd shutout in a row. 8 minutes left in the game, Sam brought it up but even the Rosen jinx couldn't get the Sharks a goal

3) Eleven years in the league and Kreider gets his first shortie? Hard to believe!

4) Grecco made a strong impression in his first game with the Rangers, should definitely get at least another game regardless of who exits protocol

5) Rangers starting to actually win face offs. WTF is going on here?

6) Saved best for last: Braden Schneider
Sensational debut! Looked like he belonged, surprisingly fast and nimble on his skates, made some strong hits, made some great breakout passes and the goal was just a Hollywood script come true! Wow, simply brilliant!

Great summary Tommy. Was a fun game to watch. One more to add, don’t mess with Jacob Trouba

Greco stepped in seamlessly. No fear, was physical, can skate a bit and not afraid to tee it up.

This team seems so different than the one that got bullied last spring. I'm generally not the most team has got to have grit person, but you love to see it.

Igor is capable of beating anyone on his own!

Rangers have great high end talent. Norris winner, Hart and Vezina contenders. High ceiling ECLs. Cap problems are universal in the NHL - everyone has issues that are coming home to roast- ours aren't that bad comparably.

Future looks bright staring now!

JD was shown the door way too early. That being said, as I said before the hire JD being in charge had way too much of an old boys club feel too it and I was uncomfortable with that. While alot of that was not JD's fault, more and more this team's success is showing that maybe it was the right move in general to clean out the front office last summer. Drury still has several significant moves he needs to make, but we can all agree he 100% nailed the coach, and some of the depth moves have really paid off in spades.

This dude hit hockey lotto with this team and the timing of everything. He walked right in at the perfect time.

Well to be fair, he has been here through all of it. Just sitting a couple chairs to the left.

If you mean by noticible you mean 3 mistakes leading to turnovers only halfway into the game. Yea sure.

he does have a three game point streak since they moved him to wing, like you wanted. Was he on the right or left?

Talent wise, yes. I wasn't the biggest DQ hater, but exchanging DQ for GG was an upper decker grand slam.

Drury still has to improve a few facets of the team, but you have to admit, the composition of this year's squad has been excellent so far.

Kreider and Trouba look like new men under Gallant

I agree that there was a big upgrade at Coach but while Gallant has been awesome -he is not conventional and I can see he will wear thin eventually. I like our coach in waiting, #Yankee2ndbasement
