So…anyone think Laughton gets traded in a deal for Crouse or similar age player? |

Nope. The GM loves him some Scotty core player Laughton. Do not see teams lining up at all for him with 4 years left
His value was high a year ago. As usual flyers blow it. |

Oh, one more thing while I'm at it. That ESPN announcing crew last night was horrific!!
I don't know who the lead guy was, but he kept getting confused as to which player had the puck. Kept correcting himself all night. A.J Melosko(however you spell it) should have been down at ice level and Boooooooosh should have been the color guy. Thanks again!
Like right after saying that Flyers had 5 forwards out for the 5v3, he calls Sanheim with the puck (it was Hayes). |

Even with the injuries, surely we can do better than using Cates and Willman as frontline penalty killers. Willman is a decent 4th liner and backup PK guy, but the penalty he took was terrible. Seeler also took a terrible penalty that resulted in a goal against. |

I am taking a Flyers fan break. You could call it an upper body injury, week to week. Hope everyone else is well. Be back after a week or so.
Yeah, if there is anything needing to be done with the team that I would hate, go ahead and talk about it when I am not looking.

Its the plays that lead up to the Laughton errand pass that I just highlighted for you. Laughton never gets the puck in the first place if either a. Sanheim wins the puck from Haula or b. Cates makes a simple play at the blue line.
Are you actually going to defend Travis Sanheim as a good defenseman in this league now? How many times do you need to see him get raped in front of his own net by Bergeron before you realize what this chump is? - jd250
Yikes. You clearly have issues best addressed by a licensed therapist. |

There were a lot of people skeptical that Frost would be a good player at the draft. His pace of play has always been questioned. Don't make it sound like he should be the 2nd coming of crosby, but the team has let him down. Sometimes the team is at fault, yes. But i think this is you trying to protect Ronnies picks as usual. Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle with Frost. - bradster
I agree but you have to put him with skill players and let him learn the NHL. Two stints in the AHL and he put up point both times, nothing left to prove there. So in the NHL you have to set him up for success. My opinion, Frost will always at times look like his pace is off, sometimes it is due to his ability to make plays in small places and sometimes not. The only way for him to figure out when is the time to slow it down is to play with the right players. On a team that treats the puck like a hot potato they need a guy who wants to control tempo. Frost is not there today but let him learn. I would put him with Farabee and Cam when Coots is back, then put G back with Coots.

Saw a report on social media that Braun said the locker room needs more accountability. He was giving an example of his time in SJ and how Thornton ran the team. He said that our room needs a little more of that. More accountability.
Now this was click bait and his critique will be blown out of proportion by some. To me it seems that he was just offering an honest assessment, not necessarily calling anyone out. Still decent insight.
BUT...
I've been saying that we aren't in the room and we just don't know what type of leadership we have. Well, this is someone in the room and he says that there is room for improvement. Someone mentioned things taking a turn when Simmer left. I'm sure we haven't filled his void in the locker room. |

Totally agree, but was just saying lets not try and paint frost to be some sure fire can't miss prospect. He isn't a rookie, and never lit it up in the pros. Now i hope he gets a lot better, but its no guarantee even if you put him with the best developers.

But he is getting an opportunity. Frost has played up and down the lineup, at center and wing, and he will continue to do so. However I think you all need to brace yourself for another miss by Hextall, because like with Patrick, I just don't see it with this kid.
As an example, consider the end of the game last night. Clock ticking down the final seconds, Flyers goalie pulled, the game is over and Marchand is skating hard chasing the puck for a chance at a last second empty net goal. And who chases Marchand down the ice and at the last second breaks up the chance for Marchand? Cam York! The rookie with less than 10 NHL games, chased one of the best scorers in hockey down and denied him a chance at an empty net goal. Its little plays like this that separate good players from potentially great players, which is why I think York will make it, and Frost will not. |

But what does this article have to do with anything? Do you think a local reporter is every going to write a hit piece on Giroux?? Whether Braun meant to or not, he clearly spilled the beans and told us what we already know, there is not accountability on this team, and that starts at the feet of Captain Comfortable himself! |

I was one of the ones that think Simmer brought a lot of this. Jake and G just sulked since he left, but he was always positive with the other players. Another reason i liked Cam coming in. Jake was a negative presence IMO. Simmer was the glue when he was here.

You didn't see it with Farabee either.

That play is irrelevant and will have nothing to do with whether York can be a potentially great player. Nor would any other similar play for any other player be a factor. |
