No. It's a garbage event at the best of times and with so many teams needing make up games it would be a perfect weekend to insert a few. |

NHLPA should refuse to play all star games while NHL continues to deny players Olympics...
Hockey needs major international events and it has none. Soccer has one every two years, alternating between Eurocup and World Cup and has had a long tradition of this. That no organization can make something like this up for hockey makes fans feel like the NHL wants to take money from fans and give nothing back, especially since playoff hockey hasn't been that good lately. |

So Marchand is under consideration for the HofF but couldn't make the all-star team. I see superstars like Clayton Keller, Jordan Eberle, Adrian Kempe all made the team. Oh wait, the NHL thinks it's really important to have 1 player from each team attend. They want fans from LA to watch the game and so having Adrian Kempe in the game will boost interest among the LA faithful. Anyone see how illogical that is. And yet the media eats it up spinning this narrative of how cool the event is. I wouldn't watch if you paid me. |

Ek just said he likes it, and it's even better in person. So he's in. But most die hard fans I know don't watch and actually don't want anyone on their team wasting time on this. Like if you are a Leafs fan I'd rather see Matthews and Campbell rest rather than fly to Vegas for a useless game. |

No, I think this is a good year to skip it. BUUUUUT, at the same time the game is for kids, in which I am not, so for that point I think they should have it. Thinking back to my youth, I always looked forward to the All-Star game, it would have broken my heart if they canceled it. |
