Really? No one? I think you are wrong! I know for a fact the Flyers consider him a serious prospect. I know BU considers him a serious prospect. I know the scouts that I always see at the BU games consider him a serious prospect. Perhaps it would help if you actually watched him play before you comment. - jd250
I saw MacEwen make a huge impact to the game last night, and he plays on the same line as Frost, right? I don't understand why you think Frost can't make an impact to the game unless he is playing on the top line??? - jd250
In the game last night, McEwen had zero points. Zero shots on net. When McEwen was on the ice last night at 5 on 5, the Flyers attempted 3 shots on net all game and had 8 shot attempts against. They had one scoring chance all game. He made one nice play taking the puck to the net and was on the ice when York scored unassisted. That's not a huge impact.
I don't understand why you can't understand that Frost is playing in situations where the Flyers don't have the puck. He is an offensive skilled forward who needs to play with other good offensive players to get his game going and to give him a chance to succeed and improve.
Yeo has repeatedly talked about how the Flyers play tight, or abandon structure at the first sign of trouble.
good read imo - hello it's me 2050
But this isn’t a young team. In fact, of the 18 skaters in the lineup for the Flyers, only Joel Farabee, Travis Konecny, Jackson Cates, Morgan Frost and Cam York are under 25 years old, and Konecny’s been around long enough that he really shouldn’t even be lumped in with this group.
I read that and forgot Provorov already turned 25 the other day He's still just a young scamp in my mind's eye!
Any thoughts on Gavin Hain and John St. Ivany - hello it's me 2050
I don't know much about Hain, he plays for North Dakota after all. I do see St. Ivany since he plays for BC, he's solid but I don't believe he projects to be an impact NHL defenseman.

Please..he has scored a few goals against teams like Brown. Arizona St not exactly college hockey powerhouses. He is already 22 so older then most all players are and not dominating against very average at best college teams. I know you are his biggest fan and likely related to him but he is not a serious prospect

MJL is spot on here. You’re reaching for any kind of sunshine by implying that Frost’s game should be elevated in anyway by a player like MacEwen. The organization is absolutely failing a player like Frost. Do I think he will be a big time impact player? Not really, but you can’t expect anything out of a kid in this point in his pro career by putting him on the ice with stiffs. Mac gives effort and hustles, but the dude is a STIFF. It’s embarrassing as a franchise to have a Morgan Frost on the ice with players like this. A total failure.

Who is the best goalie in BU history in your opinion?

Plenty of experience. Just not a lot where it counts: Deep in the post-season. - Bendecko
Yep. Ivan Provorov could’ve been a real stud, and has shown some flashes but probably another example of horrible development and usage due to management incompetency. At this point we know he’s not going to ever be The Guy, but he could still be a real useful player for a lot of teams in this league.
Instead, he’s been used up here. Confidence shattered by garbage coaching and personnel usage, such a shame. He’s so young that in my eyes I still see a real solid career for him, but again, that ship has sailed here.
Huge impact lol. MacEwen fanboys are nuts. - Tomahawk
It's from the same source that's not interested in Marner because he hasn't had more than a 60 point season in his career and doesn't play 82 games in covid shortened seasons.

The Flyers are specialists at "killing" their own young players.

Yep, that checks out.
I don’t believe Frost was ever thought of as a prospect who could elevate his line mates, so the idea that he should be good with whoever is on his line is confusing. He was never projected to be like, Peter Forsberg or anything. Why do we expect him to do anything when he plays those kinds of minutes, situations and has those kinds of players sharing the ice shift to shift?
You could put Forsberg circa 1999 in this lineup and probably not get your desired effect. And that’s what this franchise DOES NOT GET.
