don't give a phuck what they reached. He was a failure here. State of the team and his track record while in charge shows this to be true. - hello it's me 2050
He’s been gone for 3 years. He didn’t hire any of these coaches. He did not sign FAs, make trades or add numerous castoffs from other organizations to our roster. He inherited a team with poor to no goaltending, a wretched farm system and a salary cap quagmire. Chuck got a much better situation. Has he improved it? |

Just curious about what part of 2 utter failures did you not comprehend? |

I love the losing Bc it eats into Bills 40 year regular season winning percentage/playoff and cup appearances nonsense And flufff stats he likes to use to prop up this joke of a Franchise. This team is a few years away from a half century championship drought. I’m sure there will be more excuses and more at least we’re not franchise X or Y like I give a poop - Just5
anyone who defends this franchise can't be taken serious.

What Kids? Sanheim is the only regular "kid". York wasnt brought up until things got real bad. Flyers lost their #2 D. Ellis was brought in to fill the hole but we still have that hole because he has been hurt all season. Braun has been playing as the #2 guy. Injuries happen but this season has been more severe especially since we lack depth.
This team is not a contender by any means with Ellis but we'd still be a bubble team rather than a bottom feeder. This team needs to take advantage of the TDL. Anuthing less than a 1st for Giroux and Ristolainen is a loss. Braun should get us a decent pick and JVR could possibly be moved with Cap retained - xShoot4WarAmpsx
I have serious doubts that Braun would fetch a decent pick. I guess it depends on what the definition of a decent pick is. I would keep Braun and try to re-sign him cheap for another year. |

Makes zero sense. Acquire an asset like a 3rd rd pick. Then sign another vet. Plus wouldn't he be "blocking" a young guy?
What makes you think Braun wants to stay at this stage? |

You trust this incompetent GM to make trades at the deadline? So he's going to be in charge of making transactions and then be fired at the end of the year? How does this make any sense? - PLindbergh31
He’s the guy in charge today….if they think he’s gone at the end of the year ….then do it now…and no, at this point Fletch has very little of my confidence. Do I think he made some decent moves in the summer? yes…was it franchise course changing…no. |

Let’s hope he starts sooner then later. No need to wait until the deadline if a deal is there now. - landros 2
Usually the deals are better at the deadline. Right now some teams arent sure if they will be in the playoffs.

maybe on paper a few moves looked good. Reality is they were not good moves.
Some even on paper were bad moves at the time. Just have been reinforced.

Whether it’s an agreement or just an understanding, what other possible explanation is there for Yandle not being a scratch? This will be obviously true if he is scratched immediately after the record is broken. - Djapana
I actually don’t think they’ll scratch him even once he sets the record. Maybe if Ellis ever returns but I doubt it. |

Would normally agree but not this year. The 8 Eastern teams are set they could trade for guys now and give them much more time to acclimate to their teams. |

I pray CC enforces his NMC and stays. - hello it's me 2050
1% chance he gets moved.
1. He doesn’t want to leave - all about being comfortable
2. No playoff team will give up anything pf value for him

This team has 13 stinking wins. Only Canadiens..Buffalo. Coyotes and Kraken have less (not including Ottawa and Isles who have 11 but tons less games played). That's the company this team is in. |

totally disagree on #2. With a good GM he would bring back nice package. With Fletcher not so sure.
Other teams will value him diff as only a few months. Also he will be a secondary piece on said team.

Don’t be fooled on Braun….he’s nearing the end. The fact that he’s been one of the better d man on several nights says more about the alternatives the Flyers have not that he’s played that great. |

This was plainly agreed to. It can be the only explanation. |

Coyotes and Sabres perennial bottom feeders, and an expansion team. Unbelievable.

Yeo has repeatedly talked about how the Flyers play tight, or abandon structure at the first sign of trouble.
good read imo - hello it's me 2050
Interesting read. One thing that struck me is that I had forgotten that we basically are rolling with two glorified video coaches instead of assistants. I mean wtf? If you’re serious about turning this around when av was fired you bring in some competent assistants ffs. It’s like they are paralyzed and just watching the team go off a cliff. I am certain they are not trying to tank.

Many teams have cap issues. The closer it gets to the deadline, the easier it would be to fit players in. The few teams that have cap space can get a jump on other teams to try and make deals. Teams that are sellers are going to want more teams involved bidding against each other. It will be interesting to see how the market develops.
