My package for LA would be this and id still be very hesitant to make this due to this depleting the pipeline for one guy albeit it being the best player in the world.

There isn’t a fan saying McDavid is the issue. Coaching and management is the issue. But McDavid also needs to make some changes to his game. The trade proposals are mostly just for poops and giggles.

yeah, I mean, if a GM wants to offer the sun and moon for McDavid, then by all means take it. But, then the vicious cycle starts all over again - wasting away players and assets to underachieve.

There is a culture issue at work. Yeah, McDavid could mature-up his game, but the backend is awful and goaltending is weak. Without fixing those, he's pissing into the wind.

I've actually watched the past two Wings games (as I'll be writing for them in the near future), and it was actually enjoyable to watch. I was actually engaged in the game and not just sitting on my phone while it was on.

Yzerman will work his magic and that team will be a sustainable playoff team in the near future.

While Fleury isn't a long term solution, he drastically improves the team. It could also be useful to have a veteran goaltender who can still play (unlike Keith). I'd find it hard to believe that they'd trade a first, but if we're being honest, that first should be sent to Arizona for Chychurn.
