Yep. I've said ad nauseum on this site that the team killed my love for the game. Remember my annoying ass kid self? Remember the enthusiasm I had for the team? That was replaced by a cynical fan that literally had no reaction when they were swept by the Jets last season.

What's more is that I've watched the last three Wings games, and I actually kind of enjoyed myself. I remembered why I loved hockey in the first place.

I just don't understand.. they had a perfectly fine option in net with Cam. At his hit.. what 3.6, I never understood going away from him. If they would have just shored up the bottom 6 then and the D a bit.. they'd be in a much better spot. He's won 60% of his games with the Wild... but not good enough for the Oil.. To me that is poor decision making.

You’d hope Katz had learned. He heard the exact same story from the previous management teams and look how that went. Hope he’s doing some due diligence behind the scenes and has a replacement for Nicholson ready to go in the next few weeks. Make a good decision there then let that person clean house.

But in all seriousness, the guy was clearly burnt out from playing 71 games in 2016-17 and 67 games in 2017-18. So when he struggled the next season, then shipped him on the cheap.

Chiarelli actually made quite a nice move to get him, then when his writing was on the wall, he did that poop.

The teams defense was actually very good in 2016-17.

Klefbom, Larsson, Nurse were (and still are) in their 20s. Obviously Klefbom is poop luck and Larsson left. But then they had Sekera (30 at the time) and was having a career season. And had it again, not been for you (frank)ers, who knows what could happened in 2017-18. Matt Benning was also a good 3rd pairing dman.

You had Bear, Jones and Marino picked in the 2015 draft as well, all players are in the NHL.

If you include Broberg and Bouchard, their defense should be a million times better than it is. Yet, it is literally worse than last season.

I think the Oilers brass just tried to throw Leon under the bus.

Sent him to a post practice media, and fed that q to him again (as I am told it was or has been fed to him lately).

Calls for management and or coaching to be gone.

Calls for a big trade involving one of the big 2 and most saying CMD from a fan base if it has to happen.

I would prefer the team keep both 97 & 29. Get rid of EVERYONE who wears a tie affiliated with the team. Rebuild the offices. Nix, Holland, Lowe, MacTavish, Tippett and staff, ect. They all have to go. Even if the ginger son has to be a part. Hire competent new blood and train the ginger. But no more old blood. Even if Kieth G has to go.

What an absolute toxic franchise, and that starts from the Owner on down.

The organization decides to change the look of our uniforms back in 2017-18 because its a new generation and organization needs a new direction, As per Todd McLellan.
Yet they still employ the old boys club to this day.

Major major issues with this franchise, it will take years to rectify. I truly wish Katz will get this figured out one day.
