23 points in his last 21 games and I have no idea who else plays for the Coyotes other than Larry.
He’s only 23 years old and he’s locked up for another 6 years.
If the Sabres are going to splooge and make a splash, that’s the type of trade you look to make Imo. - Pegullaville
points taken...and, yes, if the sabres can get their hands on him by all means do it |

Yeah who knows if he’s available in the first place.
I like to ponder. |

they gotta upgrade that defense next year...dahlin is turning into a stud and joker has proven competent riding shotgun...that's not to say that they haven't had their problems both individually and as a pair, but they're trending in the right direction...after that?
aye carumba...bottom-pairing, maybe a no. 4 in pyssboi, but that's about it... |

As well as the president of pegula corp. Or whatever the official name is for the other stuff… 3 president titles, 2 different major league sports, 1 hospitality industry, 1 person… it’s simply too much for 1 person. |

Clayton Keller is essentially the same player as P.Kane at this point but 10 years younger and signed long term. - Pegullaville
One of his statistically most similar players is Sam. If you can get him for a similar price, I wouldn't hate it. Wouldn't overpay.

One is signed for 6 more seasons, the other could have forced a one year deal and walked himself to UFA status. Cost won't be the same.

"Now, certainly, he’s not the only candidate who would be considered. There are plenty of imminently qualified candidates who could capably fill the position."
Soon to be qualified(-ers).

That's fine. Since Sam signed immediately, I don't think that's the right way to view him.
If ARZ wants to move Keller in year 2 of his deal, it raises a lot of questions.

It means they want Michkov/Bedard.

I mean neither is Chychryn but they are listening on him too.
If they want to load up on prospects and picks and go cheap on the books then I can see Keller going too.

They are both 23 on long term deals. Just doesn't make sense, but they are more dysfunctional than Buffalo.

exactly...a lot of question marks...
we might be able to insert pyssboi as i think he'd be interested in returning and even though he's struggled since returning from covid protocol, jacob bryson has all the makings for a bottom-pairing/depth defender...after that you've got casey fitzgerald who might be more of a tweener at this juncture and laaksonen who, imo, needs another year in rochester...
from the outside one of these ufas might be available to the sabres:
justin braun (phi)
jan rutta (tbl)
ilya lyubushkin (ari) |

If we're talking about it, you can only imagine how many hours Ventura and team have put into this. Finding the right guy, then flipping Johnson for an RD prospect is the dream.

I know I don’t routinely post in here but here’s a truly honest question
How would you Sabres fans feel about hiring someone like Pat Lafontaine as president (similar to Shanny in Toronto) who could take on the media judgement and bias in order to loosen the stress for whoever gets hired as the new GM?
I wouldn’t even be too shocked if players would be willing to sign there even more if he was involved. |

They did this, he got fired after 3 months and had to sign a non disclosure agreement lol |

Drafting 2 LD #1 OA is going to force a move, at some point...unless they are really comfortable with someone making the switch to RD long term. I'm sure it's on their minds.
