I believe because the Bills had a run in the playoffs him, Frazier, and the Chiefs coordinators both got passed up because their teams were still playing.

That's why the NFL changed the hiring and interviewing process

does anyone show less emotion then our assistant coaches?

And to be fair….
Let’s say we do get our choice of goalie & RD
*idk who that would be, but for argument’s sake let’s say Holtby & Josh Manson or John Klingberg

Do those additions make us a playoff team?
MAYBE if EVERYTHING goes right….
but still probably not imo

We are still gonna have so many young guys on the roster,
figuring out how to play in the NHL,
AND figuring how to to play with each other….

I still see us picking in the top10 next year most likely
And that would be ok with me
The point is that we keep developing these kids
Bc THEY are gonna be what eventually turns us into a legit winner, and NOT whichever free agents we bring in this offseason

- jdfitz77

Agreed, they aren't a playoff team but it's progress. At some point the organization has to try and win, show some commitment to these young players.

the mixed signal I get, is they were trying to get ullmark and decided to literally give up on getting a goalie when he signed with the bruins

Yes , i agree. The gm of the football team knew a lot more about josh Allen in detail, more than the billionaire fan/ owner.

That being said, how many owners fly themselves, wife and the a staff to meet and greet a player?

Pegula's had their hands all over the unicorn josh Allen.

Same with mceichel and tage and a few probably some other terrible player choices as well.

It's ok to compliment the pegula's.
The haters are gonna have to do some "splainin" after this superbowl run.

Easy to just pretend they have nothing to do with the Bill's, but overrule the Sabres?

Not meant at you directly. As you brought up some good points 🤝

- Boss34

It's definitely very interesting to see two teams on complete opposite ends of the spectrum under one owner.

Right, it seems they've done a good job cleaning up the culture in that locker, I'd hate to see it get bad again by having these young guys come up in an intentionally losing organization.

Miller and UPL did. Assume Tage is essentially on the covid list again, so Murray swaps in there.

Looks like the Stars are asking for 3pcs in a trade for Klingberg. Maybe Adams gets his ask for Miller.

Sorry, bias aside, why the (frank) are we hiring Briere to be the GM

Maybe Cody Eakin can retire to be the AGM and poop for brains Jeff Jillson can be DoPP and JP Dumont can be the (frank)ing coach or something.

- TheSabresTaco

Really, I usually agree with your takes....

Seams like a fanaramma idea to hire briere.
This team needs the fan's back or will flat out relocate at some point.

There were probably 1,000 fans there yesterday. Weather playing a part.

Free parking in garage, access to any seat. Kids day atmosphere.

Maybe they needed to " learn on the job"

Pegulas didnt tank to get josh unicorn. They worked at winning on the fly....

Easily could have been all in on baker mayfield like uncle ion.

Instead they continued with a dignified rebuild

I still can't believe Klingberg is the big ticket item. I don't even think he's good.

He's another big guy that can put passes in the wheelhouse. He doesn't score, bad at defense...I don't get it.

Right there buddy. Everyone always see's this and says "I can fix what he sucks at"

Sometimes, most of the time, nearly always, you cannot.

Good post

Klingberg could be worse than samuelsson, but cost way more. Imagine the contract offer buffalo would have to pay (over) to a ufa ....

Yeah, you're probably right. Would explain Risto's return too. I don't know, just seems wild. Even saw a talking head refer to him as a defensive stallwart...he's at like 65% ozs!!! Willfully oblivious.

Right. He's the right hander we need, that's where the pros end though.

And more than he's worth, we don't need to waste this cap space.
