No clue as I don't know what value other teams place on him.
I don't have an issue with the Hawks dangling him. He is not untouchable. I'd say at least a 1st and high end prospect back. - bhawks2241
I want more than that for a proven goal scorer who can pot 35-40 per year - a very good young defenceman or a can't miss young #1 goaltender. |

Debrincat should net some assets. Though I suspect it is largely the same group in place that thought trading Panarin for Saad was anywhere near a good idea so does anyone really want them to do anything other than move surplus for picks?
Murphy is certainly movable but can this group get a first or a pair of seconds for him?
Without any type of plan or strategy in place right now can you really justify moving any asset that is cost controlled for a decent term?
Flipping expiring contracts like de Haan or Fluery seems obviously necessary and pretty idiot proof but you never know.
While it would be nice to clean house - the group in place is the same group that's been working with Bowman the last few years (we know its a committee over there not a dictatorship) and it isn't like they've made a whole lot of amazing decisions.
I'd like to see the German kid in the NHL just so that there is something to watch this year, and I'll buy that they don't want to burn a year of ELC vs him not being ready or whatever nonsense that is - he's been ready since day one, but other than that not a whole lot of point in watching the games. - fattybeef
So stop watching. |

So who or what would you expect back for ADB? The acquiring team needs to be able to fit that $6.4M contract under their cap this year and next. - RickJ
Two firsts and maybe a roster player to offset money if needed. He's on pace for well over 40 goals playing on a garbage team. |

Millions watch the WWE with full knowledge it is scripted. Millions watch "reality" shows that really aren't reality. Millions watch movies and TV shows that are clearly made up stories. So, it wouldn't be at all unusual for someone to watch "predetermined" NHL hockey.
For the record, I do not agree with PE that the games are anything near fixed. - mohel
PE is out there for sure, but he has been pretty close on a couple things in the past. Don't think money doesn't take precedence in decisions at the league level. Money first, hockey second. Been that way for almost a few decades. |

Sure, money takes precedence and "star" players get different considerations than other players, but that being said it's a long stretch from that to fixed games and drafts.
And when it comes to the draft and overall play, Chicago is one of your biggest markets and biggest road draws, you think the league would rather see a young superstar prospect in CLB or in CHI?

I agree on the money first point.
And, I'm a big PE guy. I don't agree with most of his conspiracy theory stuff, but I admire his unabashedly putting it out there and taking all the slings and arrows that ensue. Many of us get butthurt when others say we are nuts. PE just keeps on trucking. |

I like giving PE the gears but I’m with you, he sticks to his guns and he takes idiots like myself in stride and never seems to get upset. |
