Newhook, Avs window is now. They need to give to get.
-Bradster
I like Newhook a lot, I got to watch him some when he played at BC and the WJCs. What do the Ave's need that the Flyers have? Would they give up Newhook to get G and maybe even Provey? |

What else would they give. G and provie together should bring more than newhook. But that’s just me. |

This is a major part of the problem. IMO they need to draft and acquire the most talented players PERIOD. And then find a coach who can adapt a system to those players. Player skill set should dictate what system is played, not the other way around. - MBFlyerfan
I agree, this team needs to get much higher skilled players. We watch game after game where the Flyers work their ass off to get scoring chances and they can't finish them. They need some pure goal scoring talent on this team, as well as to increase the foot speed of the team. |

Where do you see this? - PLindbergh31
Just shows as PPD on Yahoo Fantasy Hockey. Could probably have to do with the game others are suggesting

Can somebody provide insight on Foerster? I know he was injured, but isn't he supposed to be a pure shooter? Perhaps a poor man's Patrick Laine? If not... Could the Flyers trade and sign for a guy like Laine? Someone to build the PP around? |

Imagine that you gave up G and Provy for Newhook haha, that would go down as one of the worst trades in history. |

Looks like we have bottom 5 potential. NYI and OTT are below us but have 7 games in hand. Hopefully we suck next year. Bedard is the guy we need |

Bill, any updates on Allison Ellis? (Asking for all the askers.)
And how many more games until FYandle gets that meaningless record?

Yes, bedard is the way. Need to be real bad next year too. Terrifying that Fletcher is still in charge tho. |

One thing about Clarke. He says always put the team first. Well he is full of crap. Otherwise he would step aside and not get involved any longer!!
Curious, what areas of managing the team is Clarke still in charge of ? |

Bill,
Any insight as to what discussions are happening at the highest levels of the organization? Are they actually considering wholesale changes at the top? Are they considering throwing in the towel early and selling off. Clearly not even the most optimistic of people could actually believe a playoff run, a deep one at that, is even realistic. And finally, do you have any reason to believe the Flyers will keep Yeo behind the bench until the end of the season or try to get a change of direction early, if that’s even their plan? |

Probably going to take Hart to get Newhook. G and Provy i wouldnt do. Those 2 should get you a lot more than newhook. Maybe Provy for Newhook, but would need to be more involved for the $$.
Depending on Eichel, if he doesnt come back in time, vegas would be all over G.

I'd stay far away from Laine.
Re: Foerster, yes, he is an excellent pure shooter. Underrated passer, too. Skating showed improvement; will never be pretty or a speedster but it's something he can work with. Two-way game needed further improvement. Has already had three significant injuries (two to his shoulder) in two pro seasons, so that's a bit of a concern.
When healthy, Foerster fared pretty well in last year's version of the AHL. Struggled out of the gates this year with the league back up to its normal standards -- the entire Phantoms team stumbled out of the gates -- and then was lost for the season before he really had time to show adjustments.

Either way it makes no sense, the Flyers would never trade Hart for Newhook. They probably take mcdavid for him too, probably. |

Maybe G + Frost for Newhook. Avs should know Frost will be good and we are just not using him properly.
