ESPN+ / Hulu Live exclusive again tonight?
ponderous...franking ponderous - Scoob
As bad is their coverage is, at least they won't play an up-tempo song coming out of a doggy-daeth dedication...
(but maybe give them some time) |

How well the Flyers do with a G trade will be dependent on if he gives them a limited number of teams he will accept a trade to. My bet is he will do that and it will be all East Coast teams only. Dont see him moving away from family for 2-3 months based on his previous comments. My bet is Pens or Rangers - hfc355
Pens are projected to have zero cap space at the deadline and I don't see a candidate to trade to the Flyers to clear space. Maybe get a 3rd team involved somehow.

I don't see G going to either of these teams, but if he does stay in the east maybe a team like Carolina? They would have to clear cap space to get him though. - jd250
Or trade Kotkenemi, not sure im thrilled with that, but it makes G fit on the canes

The news conference they held in 2018 was all anyone needed to know that Scott was in over his head hockey wise. - MJL
I look at the people under Chuck Fletcher currently I think he should seriously consider updating this group:
Vice President & Assistant General Manager Barry Hanrahan
Vice President & Assistant General Manager Brent Flahr
Senior Advisor Paul Holmgren
Senior Advisor Bob Clarke
Senior Advisor Bill Barber
Senior Advisor Dean Lombardi
Brent Flahr is running the drafting and I am fine with that. Hanrahan is nothing more than a contract and cap guy, he wouldn't know a good player from a bad player. So now you are left with Homer, Clarke, Barber as your advisors and none of them are up on the modern game of NHL hockey nor many of the good and upcoming players. Lombardi at least was a GM of the Sharks somewhat recently. I think its long overdue for Fletcher to replace the old guard with better hockey advisors. Fletcher needs some new voices! |

My guess is that G gets dealt with 50% retention to Boston. This would allow the Bruins to put their big line back together and G can be the playmaker on L2 |

How did Briere make the final 3 with Darche and Hughes for The Hans GM? I get he speaks French, but that seems like a reach for an echl GM to the big job in Montreal.
Also if Darche is meeting w the Habs and Anaheim - why not us?
Bring him in now. Right now. |

How would Hanrahan not know a good player from a bad player? Everyone on this site claims to know whos good and whos bad, but a guy that actually works for a team in a high capacity doesn't know a good player from a bad player....that doesn't make sense. |

I thought about this except the Bruins really have nothing to offer the Flyers in terms of a high pick or prospects. |

Go read about what he does: http://www.comcastspectac...leadership/barry-hanrahan
He is a hockey admin guy, not a player evaluator. |

Fletcher does not choose the sr advisors. Besides those guys don’t set hockey strategy. They have not played a large role in at least 7or 8 yrs. |

It would get Darche closer to his kid....Darche is to modern for the flyers.

But that's my point, then who is? Who are the voices that Fletcher talks to to evaluate players, trades, trends, etc.? If Fletcher does not chose his own advisors than who does? |
