They had the 3 best players on the planet who were not in the NHL and now they are in the NHL.
They are a team. - Aetherial
That's unpossible.
Because the Habs had the best D-man not in the NHL in Romanov. Now he's the 150th best in the NHL. |

We can laugh, but truthfully, Matheson is a f'n tool. Catch them upset and unhappy on a losing streak and then accuse him of being pissy because he is? If you're the Oilers, you ban that imbecile from your press conferences. There's basic respect to the athletes that should be afforded even in difficult times. |

Mikheyev is tied with Laine in goals this season and Mikheyev has only played 7 games. |

The reporter, IMO was asking stupid questions. Come on man, ask a stupid question after stupid questions, I'd be pissy about it as well. |

I said it yesterday and I find it ridiculous how much entitlement this person in the media has. He isn't the only one in the media who does it. I understand they have a job to do but man, can't blame an athlete for getting upset when things are down and is bombarded by the same poop questions day in and day out from the same poop media.

I did like Leon's responses. "I gave you an answer" and "you know best" or something similar to that.

I don't.
Plenty of decent human beings out there in the media.
Some choose to cop out and be rats to get reads and views, guys like this should be slammed for being a poop person. |

Like, not only was it a poopty question, but you hear how he said "Why are you so pissy?"
Like, the sheer disrespect in his tone is astounding.
O'Dog had a pretty good quip about it. It's obvious to everyone what Edmonton's problems are and what needs to improve. The goaltending is ass and the D ain't good. But Draisatltillelil ain't gonna (frank)ing sewer his teammates in a press conference. |

100%
I'm so sick of reporters asking players and coaches incredibly lazy questions.
You aren't going to get good answers. People laugh at players and coaches, but why the frank would they give honest answers, that may provide information to competitors?
What the frank was this reporter expecting him to say? I'd love to ask the reporter that question.
It's just franking lazy journalism. The journalist should be giving his opinion on what the Oilers need to do to get back to winning, not ask a player, when the entire franking world knows the player isn't going to give a meaningful answer.
The absolute worst is the end of the half, running to the locker room interview with the football coach whose team is losing at halftime.
"Hey coach, your team is down 24-0 at the half, what do you need to do better in the second half?"
"We just need to do everything better. Our offence needs to figure out a way to move the ball, Our defence needs to make some key stops for us, and our special teams need to come up with a big play to swing the momentum."
"Thanks, coach."

Michael Landsberg figured this out 30 years ago - don't ask a hockey player a hockey question, don't ask a baseball player a baseball question. If you want interesting and honest answers, ask a hockey player a baseball question, and a baseball player a hockey question. |

Injuries suck and I hope Muzzin gets healed up in a few days to a week but this will be a good step in their development. |

Stupid questions are the North American way.
If you go into a shopping mall or store and they have a security guard at the door asking : "do you have any Covid symptoms?" Who the (frank) is going the say yes?

Most people in Mexico pretended covid didn't exist but I was surprised when a couple of the higher end establishments like the oyster bar at the marina and cabo wabo took my temperature |

does muzzin go on ltir? and does that affect the leafs cap..as in they cant keep accruing space? accruing is a strange word - senstroll
Since LTIR can be applied for retroactively, it will depend on his recovery and our available options. You're right, though - accrual might be more important than having more low-cost players on the roster simultaneously. If I can only play 6 guys, I don't need both Biega and Dahlstrom or Rubins up at the same time - especially since they're wrapping up the road trip with only 2 games left, then home, then 2 more away and then the Olympic break (which would ostensibly be home games). |

i havent cared about media questions and player answers in 10+ years.
watching them spar is fun, but I just get zero value from player interviews.
maybe just me, but I think I have so much access to stats and other stuff that idgaf what he players answer is to ...what can you do better |
