It would be pretty neat if we can add a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick to this year's draft. And then have the possibility to flip a few high picks for actual good players.
GMs still get rock hard for gritty low pairing D like Hagg. Go get us a 2nd, kiddo. And Miller, a bottom 4 RHD? A first? Yessir. Vinny, a utility winger? A 3rd is an acceptable price. Maybe Eakin or Jankowski gets attached to one of those to get a useful player back instead of a pick. Two months away.

Olo, Haag, Miller trades should give 1,2,3 rd picks if you believe Gerbe.
PLus Buffalo should weaponize cap space and take dumps for a 1 or 2.
Potential to add 6-7 1,2,or 3 rd picks. |

Better idea, play him on the right side until the deadline. Show that he's at least Risto, point at the Risto return, get the Risto return, sign Risto to a one year league min deal, as a 7th, play him for two months until next deadline, get another Risto return, profit. Also, Miller gets the Risto return as well. Risto.

I think the Eichel situation changed hockey. Superstars in other sports do this. Eichel opened the door for other NHL elite to do the same. I wonder if this is covered in the CBA? |
