Drafting all defensemen will allow us to keep our proposed center spine in tact for 100's of years.

If they take a defenseman with their own first I'm going to have a poop fit

Where do you see Lambert being picked

2 goals 4 assists in 26 gp
Father complaining about more power play time
And team trading him away

4 or 5 he has done everything possible to screw himself this year now

When is he supposed to be available?
- IndianaSabresFan

They don't even (frank)ing know. Good news is, he's on the ice so he's certainly progressing from a basic surgery. Hopefully he's full non contact soon.

Those were 3 pretty big moves that are unexplained by you

-no Peterka in the lineup…. Why?
-Jankowski in the lineup over Asplund…. Huh?
-what happened to Olofsson…. if traded, for what?

I wouldn't be that upset, but I have a ton more research to do, and of course it matters where we pick. I too would prefer a forward. We added a bundle of forwards this past year, and our defensive pipeline is honestly pretty weak once 22-23 starts. We've got Laaksonen, Johnson and Novikov. All the other guys are years out, at best. Honestly I'd be disappointed if we don't grab at least 2 defenders in the top 3 rounds.

Get a top 6 forward with the Sabres pick and grab a pair like Koromyslov or Mateychuk.

Quinn tied for goal lead in AHL with 7-10 less games played than most. Biggest standout for me is the company of 17, 18 goal scorers are not young guys, they are all career AHL late 20’s 30 years old. Quinn is in a class by himself

No way Lambert goes 4/5. Raty fell to the 52nd after a similar year.

I agree. Someone will pay up. I think Miller healthy keeps this at 40%. Not healthy, maybe VO gets us one

Has everything but skating which i'm sure can be fixed with hard work

Lambert on the other hand you can see a first line center that will make Something out of nothing with his speed only problem is his Maturity and attitude that's holding him back

jj's not ready and he proved it after the adrenaline wore off...

what does it matter when it comes to jankowski/asplund?...i like the pollack because he's more consistent and responsible, is better on the dot and he's polish

and what happened to olofsson?...we've been asking that all season

2 different style players and his stock went up after the world jrs.

I don't see any chance the New York Islanders pass on him if he reaches them also

Trade the late firsts for players to help now.

So many teams are in cap hell currently.

VGK 1st back to them for Theodore
FLA to Tampa for Cernak

Dahlin/Theodore
Power/Cernak
Pysyk/Joker

- ImThatGuy

Sure, that would be great
But i don’t think there’s any way Tampa or Vegas make those trades- we’re gonna have to add significantly imo

Sure, I get that. Raty had all the same expectations, and the same red flags popped up though (and then some with poppa Lambert). I just don't see Lambert holding unless he corrects all the bad things the last third of the year, which telling his dad to fly a kite should be first on the list.

pronman's analysis is reminiscent of what they were saying (to a degree) about armia and (also to an extent) nylander--a lot of skill that comes to the fore at times, and looks impressive in the process, but all three disappear way too often

Someone the other day dropped a "Game Score" which is analytically derived and essentially sums up how impactful you are. The top 3 guys in the league are Perfetti, Quinn and Rossi. Perfetti is a solid, Bo Horvat kinda guy. Doesn't wow you with the scoring but a pretty effective, possession driving centerman. Where as Quinn has been all flash, big time scorer, but struggling relatively in his own end. Rossi has been a mix of both. All 3 have been dominating the AHL in their own way. And all 3 have the skills to carry over into the NHL to be effective.

I agree, no playoff contenders are trading for picks now. Only for upgrades. We could target players on the bottom teams now. That’s about it

jesus christ it's like your passion for people to not like you.

the proper response to comparing one of our prospects to one of the best college goalies of all time and a great NHL goaltender would be "cool"
