Your putting quotes around statements that you are saying I said?? When exactly did I post these things? Seems to me you are nothing more than a Scumbag! Quote yourself if you want, but don't be a coward and try to put words in other people's mouths! |

You mean you didn't find the debate over what a 1C is riveting? :-) |

It is so disheartening watching so few people just destroy this website on a daily basis with their Richard swinging BS.
Just stop.
I used to just like to read the convos, most of the time I didn't even glance to see who made the post.
Now, and I am sure I am not the only one, I glance and see who is writing what, and I just skip it altogether because I know its going to be some Richard swinging, "I'm smarter or more snarky clever than you" post.
Most of the good posters have left. And now we are left with the contaminated detritus poisoning it for those who are left.
The mods don't do poop, and they allow people who do get banned to OPENLY break forum rules by creating alternate accounts so they can continue to spread their bile.
Its why I canceled my season ticket renewal and I encourage all others to do the same. Maybe hitting Eklund in his wallet will finally get someone in here to clean this poop pile up once and for all. - MBFlyerfan
I was thinking the same thing last week. Just makes me log in less frequently. Arguing about opinions, and same stuff day after day. Some just want to argue. Some only reply with arguments and don't come up with their own topics. It gets old fast. Everyone knows more than people making the decisions. We are so dumb lol

Yeah. On occasion it gets ridiculous. Just keep it to hockey conversations IMO. the part I can’t stand is that if someone disagrees with you, here comes the personal attack or insult. Instead of understanding that it’s an opinion. You are allowed to disagree and just leave it at that.
It’s not a zero sum game. - Hextall271
The disagreeing isn't really that. Its more, you don't know what you are talking about, I'm smarter than you because i see it this way. You said this and that 6 months ago, you cant change your opinion. blah blah blah

I don't believe he meant that literally. I think he meant it as an expression for not playing well.

Yes, that's how I interpreted it. Still, the anger is unnecessary.

Watched the Rangers Leafs game last night. Fun hockey. The Flyers haven't had a product close to what I watched last night in over a decade. |

I wanted to watch that one. Comcast and MSG saw to it that I couldn't.

I wish there was a way to do a poll on here, id really like to know what people think of the Leafs plan, and success vs their top heavy salaries. I really dont think they will make it past the 2nd round of the playoffs. They just aren't built for playoff hockey. Is that a plan we should try and replicate? Need high picks to do that. But I have a feeling Marner will be on the move after they fail in the playoffs again. But they are fun to watch play, just not set for playoffs success.
And the oilers, Darnell Nurse signed for 9.5 is ludicrous.

You would think that the NHL would make it easier for people to watch games instead of harder. You would think they would want to expand their fanbase. I remember back when Prism first came out and I didn't have it and when I could go to someone else's house to watch a playoff game it was special. It feels like it's getting back to that with this ESPN+ and Paramount streaming. For what I pay to Comcast, it's ridiculous that I can't watch some Flyers games. |

The Leafs need a better goalie and a Scott Neidermeyer type top number 1 stellar dman. All of their talent is in their forwards. If I'm the Leafs I try and move Marner. Nylander sat out and got paid but I think he's the best overall player out of the Tavares, Marner, Matthews, Nylander bunch. I bet the Leafs can get a top defenseman for Marner. |

Morgan Reilly is a pretty darn good player. In my opinion, Nylander is not on the level of Matthews and Marner.

I 100% agree. The ESPN+ exclusivity that blacks out local market viewers is infuriating and I'm not even in the local market lol.
The stupid feud between Comcast and MSGN has screwed over fans of the NYR, NYI, NJD, NYN who are Comcast subscribers. Subscribing to NHLCI (as I do) or ESPN+ doesn't help in this situation because it's blacked out on those services because it's available on a local market network (MSGN) except it isn't to us Comcast subscribers because of the feud.

I haven't looked at the stats, but i thought their goalie was playing awesome this year.
Nylander is worth his money, Marner is not. Pretty hard to outperform an $11M salary. I would say Nylander is outperforming his salary. Going to be hard to move Marners contract though.

Says the man whose daily avatar location is itself an irrelevant, inflammatory aside.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!!!
I started paying for the site honestly for moments such as this.
Re: mods: their role is voluntary, and there is very little a mod can do about alternate accounts today in the age of easy masquerading of IP addresses. This site was not set up to punish such avoidance.
Also, you are not fooling me one bit.

Sorry, I think Jake is one of those players that employed the country club work ethic that sent a bad example to the younger players. Saw too many games when he mailed it in and I'm glad he's gone!! Just my opinion of course. |

My dear man, much though I genuinely admire the good natured way of you Canadians, the disagreement was fairly mild, and largely hockey related.
It's hard to get to the stage of arguing about differences in opinion, when a guy says players have regressed, then offers as evidence of regression that they have not beaten expectations, then forgets within minutes what he has said. An 'illogical amnesiac' is a facts based diagnosis then.
Its difficult to debate an opinion, or just debate, when the opinion keeps shifting and there is no logical structure.
Criticism of that is not disrespecting opinion. It is both deserved and fitting. |
