My take on some Flyers stuff:
Fletcher: has done much more damage than good. Would like to see him gone before he makes another bad move. Get someone who knows how to both evaluate and develop talent
Frost: he’s a young kid who, due to injury, has played all of 80 or so games as a pro over 2 seasons. This season is toast. Put him on a line with 2 skilled players and let’s see what he can do over 40+ games
Couts/Ellis/Hayes: Shut them all down for the rest of the season. If any need surgery, do it asap. Give them ample time to get healthy for 22-23.
Yeo: let him finish the season and move on. Look for a coach who understands how to develop talent and how the game is played in 2022. No more crap retreads!
Giroux: get a list of teams he will go to and let the new GM, not Fletcher, make the best deal possible
Ristolainen: get what you can for him at the deadline and cut your losses.
JVR: retain up to 50% if need be and move him at the draft. Someone will take him.

Lindblom too, if a 5th round pick even makes your roster they’ve exceeded expectations. |

Bobrovsky 33 11+ NHL seasons.
It's the same for the other teams I mentioned. - MJL
What about Morgan Frost's upside?
How do you think he is being developed?
Were you impressed by his shootout attempt?

I do not want a buyout of JVR, would rather live with the pain. But i am in favor of retaining to trade him....Even paying a portion of his salary next year.

The entire team as a whole hasn't played the right way for a number of seasons now. Mike Yeo has been a constant during that. Yeo should look in the mirror and realize that he and his fired coaching counterparts have failed in getting the team to correct the errors that it constantly makes on the ice. Jake Voracek was not the problem. - MJL
He wasn't part of the solution.

This is what we should be focusing on in this board, along with some humor..actual plans on what should be done ...not waterboarding our eyes .
Playing any gigs in Fla? Several people I know set up small tours down there for their blues bands..

Agree with Frost. Also have to realize this kid may be a total bust. I know that is blasphemy on some sites despite it being a real possibility.

what has he exceeded? - hello it's me 2050
Expectations for the 14th overall pick in 2018. He has the 6th most points of any player taken that year and he's only 3 points behind Kotkaniemi who has played 68 more games.

Your putting quotes around statements that you are saying I said?? When exactly did I post these things? Seems to me you are nothing more than a Scumbag! Quote yourself if you want, but don't be a coward and try to put words in other people's mouths! - jd250

He has exceeded in the fact that he was not ruined by this culture (yet) and went straight to bustville.

I think almost all of them were part of the problem. Unless you don't think we are under achieving I'm not sure how someone can't see that.

So 3 of the 4 most important players in each team are 28 or less? That is pretty much what I meant.
Now look at Pittsburgh, Caps, Bruins and Blues, and you will see the distinction.

They do, and they just got out of Covid protocol and they coached the team.

While I also believe that Fletcher needs to be gone, there are many players on the current Wild roster drafted during his tenure there.
Kaprizov
Fiala
Erikson Ek
Brodin
Dumba
Spurgeon
Duhaime
Greenway
Kahkonen (G)
We all hoped better for Ellis but moving forward no more signing or drafting damaged goods, and playing people who need surgery. |

Some peoples jobs are to criticize others posts, and opinions yet rarely offer up any substantial thoughts on how to fix it themselves. Hence the constant arguing. Its easy to criticize, but if you offer thoughts how to fix, then you open yourself up to being criticized.

I am a fan of fletchers drafting compared to the years of drafting before he got here. Also a fan of him wanting to bring in new players because he knew cant keep bringing the same players back and expecting different results. Not sure he knows how best to fix this team though. But id rather him try and fail, than keeping the same group together and failing. Not sure if that's an endorsement or not lol It would not surprise me if he hired a GM, and he just did the prez job. But would that go straight to Flahr?

So you expected the 14th overall pick to be the 5th best player taken from the 2018 draft three and a half years on?
