I personally think Leon's immaturity is a major problem, and I have for a long time...but this is a great strategy you've come up with. Hunker down together as a team and go to battle together, using Leon as the poster boy that stood up to the idiot reporters...I like it.

but yeah, Leon is not a leader and he has a ton of growing up to do mentally in order to become one. Not back checking, trying to go through 4 guys alone when the team needs him, he's always been immature on the ice, but to be immature in public is quite another thing, even if he's frustrated.

There are some great players in EDM and they need to just keep plugging away.
The goalie needs to be changed and the guys who claim to be leaders need to call out playes like Barrie, Draisaitl, bottom 6, etc. when they don't move their feet or when they keep trying B.S. low percentage hot shot plays (Tyson Barrie).

When it goes off of the rails like this, you'd think you'd hear about a "divided room" or some rough stuff in practices...but nah, these guys are just out there to be out there. SOmeone has to step up and actually lead. We haven't had it since Jason Smith in my opinion.

Again Holland should announce that all players have no availability and he should sit there all day long answering whatever stupid questions Matheson and Spector come up with. After a week the players should just give simple blunt answers to Matheson. Force the guy out. I said a few weeks ago that I'd hire Woodcroft, but bringing in Torts would be highly entertaining. That guy would fight for his players and tell Matheson and Spector to get lost. Like when he made Brooksy cry. Haha. Did you get beat up a lot as a kid Brooksy? Classic line.

Matheson was just hoping to catch Draisait in a careless, unguarded moment say something about a player or coach that he could then turn into a sh_tstorm. Nothing but an Ahole and the team shouldn't tolerate it. They have enough legitimate hockey issues on their plate without the likes of Matheson manufacturing stuff out of thin air.

Schedule makers must have been feeling sorry for the Oilers. Only 9 total B2B sets for the season. Flames have a total of 15 and the next two BOA games are game 2 of a Flames B2B. Good things the Flames have 2 goalies.
