Edit: You guys make some excellent points that I didn't consider. I may not like it, but there are legitimate reasons for keeping this under wraps until BabRichard was gone. Thanks for all your takes. That's why I love this group... You guys make me think twice about my views on things.

When I first saw tweets about Rachel Doerrie’s podcast comments, I took a couple shots at her not being a reliable Canucks insider. But now I’ve taken the time to listen to the full podcast and I can tell you this: it’s super duper weird. Where to begin? Let’s see...

Rachel is very confident in the intel she’s getting out of the Canucks organization. The detail on JT Miller as anti-masker, the 1,000 lost season tickets — if she were making this up, she picked a couple super specific things to lie about. Which makes me think she isn’t...

But at the same time, who in their right mind would tell her this? There’s one guy in the entire organization she doesn’t shred — Ryan Biech — and if he (or whoever) is sharing sensitive biz info like season ticket renewal numbers, that’s not smart or great for job security....

She mentions a bunch of stuff about Petey that is NEWS if true. Says he’s unhappy enough with the org. that there’s a “decent chance” he’s playing elsewhere next year. That he was healthy enough to play post-COVID and peaced out — so he was full of poop in his media avail?...

Then — out of nowhere! — she was working at the bank one day and got a call from a reputable hockey media person saying Benning was about to get fired and she was on the list to be hired. As GM? Who knows. Who was going to do the hiring? Francesco? SO MANY QUESTIONS!....
