Pretty ugly… 5 straight given up… Chances ..yep .. at some point though you gotta net a few…
- dozerD10

They did net a few. Getting 3 against Shesterkin is a miracle in itself. They really need to stop giving up so many grade A chances.

I never said that. I like Liljgren. But calling him our 3rd best defenceman all season is ludicrous.
- fifty__missions

It's really not. Rielly and Brodie are the only guys consistently better than him. That's pretty factual.

Muzzin only plays decent to good when not paired with Holl, Holl is the worst player on the ice every single game he plays, Dermott is for the most part meh, and Sandin is right behind Liljegren. Just more prone to the odd mistake, since he handles the puck more.

So, yeah. If Muzzin gets his game back, he'll pass Liljegren and Sandin.

Yeah, feel kinda bad for Campbell today. If the guys in front of him do their jobs odds are a few of those goals never happen.

Like, where was Matthews going on the first goal.

With the looks they had tonight.. 5 or 6 was not unreasonable…

But yes way to many easy looks for Rags.. and soup was not sharp at all.

It's been like that for a few weeks. Since the beginning of the road trip. That's why, despite the fact that they're only playing two games a week, giving Campbell some time off from being having to be superhuman might be a good idea.

Gross game

Team defence sucked

Defence in general sucked

Campbell wasn’t good

Matthews chasing the record and that line got beat a ton tonight.

Hopefully they put this game and streak behind them and get back to the basics.

I really didn't think soup was that bad. He played good enough to win, but Shes was better and so were the rest of the Rangers. Maybe he was that bad though. I'd love to see the High Danger fancy stats and have someone spoon feed me what they mean.

Agreed. Think we only play a few games in the next weekish, yeah? Maybe even give him a game off, even though there's a lot of off days.

Mrazek has missed a lot of time. Can't hurt to give him some reps, especially the way the rest of the team has been been playing.

They'll either win because they scored 6 or lose because they let in 7.

Somebody has 10 games in 16 nights. Back up goalies will be on display or starters will burn out.

Ottawa, I think.

But it's probably good for them. Help them tank.

Glass half full I’d rather they do this dumb poop now - blowing leads, not playing good team D, trying to just outscore teams to win etc. Losing when they do that stuff SHOULD make them wake up & realize that all the coaches who have yelled about it not working maybe knew what they were talking about.

I mean when they were getting wins in past seasons doing that stuff and then lost come playoff time when it didn’t work you can argue they didn’t change what they did because it had worked. They decided they didn’t care if coach said it wouldn’t in the playoffs they knew better because it had worked all Season.

Id rather they lose now playing that way and learn and change and just get into the playoffs playing the right way. I think that’s more likely to bring playoff success.

Coaching this team must be so frustrating in knowing they have the talent and ability to play the right way but also enough skill they can get away with not having to do so all the time
