I'm glad Heatherington cleared waivers, now lets put JBrown on waivers already! |

Forsberg clearly wasnt ready to start the game tonight, puck goes in off his pad! |

Thank goodness it's offside, no goal on the 3rd one for Pitt! |

Yeah that TSN 1050 blurb Kev mentioned, Jeff O'Neill raises that very point.. Your obs about it going back to Pit is telling - I cannot believe Sens front office didn't see writing on the wall back then that Murray might be fool's gold, not the least of which being the Pens not resigning him at 26yo after helping win them two cups. I hope he figures it out, he seems like a good guy, albeit one lacking confidence. - Bartacus
The Murray signing is like a UFA signing in my eyes, they qualified him, due to one more year of control as an RFA then right away handed him a 4 year deal! Couple that signing with Dadonov, Galchenyuk UFA signings last year and MDZ this year, how this GM got an extension after those 4 trainwreck signings, is mind boggling!

22 SOG in one period, at least they're getting some chances. |

They controlled the play for large periods 5 on 5, but its been the goaltending letting in weak goals that's killing them the last 2 games now. They outhit Pitt 24-15 too!!!

I may be reading in between the lines a bit, but I believe there is a mental thing going on with Murray. There have been clues to it for a few years now going back to his time in Pittsburgh. Should be taken seriously for the person but also, you must think of the organization as a whole. If you aren’t able to show up every day, a prolonged absence might be best. That way, the individual gets the proper help they need and the organization can continue day to day without the disruptions. I believe long term IR could play a role if I am not mistaken. The NHL is one of the few professions where this can occur. Not as easy for average joes. - Gord_Wilson_2.0
You nailed it! Longterm IR as Drouin and a few other NHLers did that last year. Like you said, easy for the pros in terms of the care they get. Not the average joe though, way harder to get that kind of care. Regardless, the team needs to be honest with themselves and Murray too....fix the problem if this is what is ails him!

I have watched a bunch chunk of the Sens game tonight and the other night with Buffalo, in my eyes Stutzle is more of a number one center than Norris. Norris shouldn't be in that role but I guess Ottawa doesn't have anyone to fill that role right now. |

I have often wondered if having reduced capacity actually loses the Sens more money than no capacity, since they probably have to bring in more employees when fans are in the building and spend more on upkeep and getting the Rink Covid compliant than when it is empty. - GrimmdaGoalie
PM has taken this on as His responsibility particularly sniffing around to see they are Covid Compliant. He's also making sure bums are in the seats, PM, what an asset. |

I've been saying going back to early December! The top line until Norris scored was very quiet tonight.
f Formenton was wearing #87 on that last SH rush, it would've been a penalty! It's almost as if the refs don't want to give Ottawa a PP after just giving them a penalty shot! Unreal!

At least the Sens present hope to their fan base! Can't say the same for Buffalo!
Sabres have had a 4G losing streak, 5G, 6G and 7G losing streak, how do you guys do it?! |

How about the confidence Branny is playing with !! Coach had nothing to do with it.
Softest team in the league? New York islanders. Softer than a moldy orange.
Great third period by the Sens ! |

Meh, just do. Was just teasing, but you know what they say about glass houses and all. Last five years haven’t been kind to either fan base, regardless. Future may be their for either though, depending on the kids. |

Agreed. And Hindsight is so easy - oh the Sabres shoulda kept this guy or traded that guy. Nobody coulda predicted how things would have turned out. |

Fair enough, last 4 in Ottawa have stunk....Sens were 1 goal away from Cup Final in 2018.
