Off topic question:
What's your opinion on Laffy? I see some of the Ranger games, but not enough. Every once and awhile, will he do something that stands out? Something that makes you say "Thats' what we've been waiting for!"
Does he look like a 1OA pick? Who would you compare his game to?

my opinion is that he's a left wing and he just happens to play on a team with two of the best left wings in the league in Panarin and Kreider and just isn't put in position very often to succeed
and ultimately it really doesn't matter as long as we are winning, but ultimately, he's gonna have to move to RW

Me personally, a bit disappointed for now. Thought I would see a little more. In saying that, I don't believe he is a bust and will eventually be a very good player. The fact that the Rangers are playing so well also takes the spotlight off of him. If the Rangers were a garbage team you would be hearing a lot more about him in a negative light. imo |

I havent seen it.......yet. Most here make excuses for him. I have not seen eye popping talent like we saw with Fox right out of the shoot (I realize there is a huge age difference) I mean the dude was picked 1st overall.

hey you know whats great, the Flyers traded the 14th overall pick and a 2023 2nd rounder to Buffalo for Risto Ristolainen, who has been awful and is a UFA after season |

Kakko... Disappointing. I was at that draft. I'm gonna watch some more Ranger games. Wanna watch Laffy more closely.
Maybe he'll be playing with JT soon? |

He was awful last year too. I'm not sure adding Dmen like Risto and Yandle was good for Team Defense. |

IMO- There is no way Laff gets traded unless is overwhelming in the Rangers favor. They dont have to pay him for two more years

Most of us want this! he seems to be a perfect fit- he wont score as many points for us because he wont get any PP time but we all know what we are getting at a good price for 2 playoff pushes

I’m in the minority with this opinion, but I like the path of development both Kakko and Laf are on. They’re not lighting it up on the scoresheet, but that’s not the game they’ve been asked to play. They both are learning the intricacies of a complete game, something that is not commonly picked up by young players early on.
They both need to work on foot speed and driving to the net, but they’re hockey IQs are off the charts. They both play really good secondary roles for the team, which I assume is the reason some fans are down on both (they want the flash/dazzle dazzle)

It's why I won't hate it if they don't both break out offensively till year 4. Keep those contracts cheap as long as possible |
