That franchise really needs to blow it up

for some reason they thought Ryan Ellis would be healthy for them, that was silly

Hextall had the chance to and didn't do it. Though knowing that franchise, they probably would never commit to it. Then again, I never though Dolan who allow something like the letter to happen, so who knows?

I think he wanted to but not sure the owners wanted it. They seem to always be in a win now mode. Finally catching up to them

I thought that was a decent gamble for them. They gave up scraps, it was worth the risk IMO.

Ellis being hurt might have been a blessing in disguise for them. If he's healthy they still are not a playoff team, but probably again in the mid teens for a pick.

It's why I won't hate it if they don't both break out offensively till year 4. Keep those contracts cheap as long as possible

We just gotta be careful we dont get offer sheeted.

If they really want to resign Giroux- I would take Hayes back if they ate 2M per on the remaining years.

Yeah, I have no clue. Looks like he might have learned from his missteps so far in running the Pens this year. Honestly, if the Flyers were never going to commit to a rebuild, they shoulda stuck with Holmgren.

I watch alot of their games, Hayes looks like a rotting corpse sometimes. Couple of core surgeries. He's pretty donzo IMO

No way, Hayes is already breaking down with a bunch of injuries this year. He was already a slow player to start with. Don't want him in his 30s

Same living in the area I see most games when the Rangers aren't on. Honestly outside of York on defense, not sure they have anything that really excites me.

what do you want for JT?
- Greschnergy#4

1st
top (or close to it) prospect
+ ?

Getting 2 playoff runs out of him would be huge for the acquiring team. Nobody here really wants to lose JT. But Jimbo left this team heavily flawed and short of picks and futures. Plus, they're not winning the Cup anytime soon.

JT would go a long way in restocking the cupboards. But, can't be a full on rebuild. So this is gonna be a delicate dance for the real Trader Jim.

There should be a ton of teams who would want to add JT. That and his cap hit should help the return.

I said on the Flyers board a couple months ago, their problem is they have a bunch of decent mishmashed parts. Someone like Frost for example, should be a solid middle 6 player. We would all be happy if we had a clone of him on our team. However, they count on these OK guys to develop into stars, it was never going to come to fruition. Until they get some real game changers, they will forever be mediocre at best

Frost I am not sure on. He avoids contact and going to the dirty areas. Unless he puts on some muscle he won't last. He def has skill though
