So does Jarry technically get credited with a shutout? |

Don’t think so. Is this an honest question? |

Yeah. He's the goalie of record. Played two full periods. I'm just curious.

No. I believe even if DeSmith had given up no goals as well, it would have been a team shutout, but not one for either goalie. |

Nylander with two goals tonight. Dude has been straight fire since coming to WBS. |

It was a good low risk/high reward move. Hope he can find his game. |

I think Sully was trying to reunite Geno and Kap. They were pretty tremendous at times last season. - madmike71
Except they weren’t. |

Absolutely ridiculous to have a backup that can't play more than a period. Jarry has only played 40+ games twice as a pro(high of 49). Tonight is 32 for him now and in only our 40th game. - Pags
Two bad goals that were almost mirror images of the same problem. Both leaked trough between the arm and body. The first on the blocker side, second on the glove hand. Those are the kind goals that get goalies sent to the AHL.
Yes, they need to do something to manage Jarry's minutes. They physical demands on a goalie are different than a skater, but they are very real.

Pens Inside Scoop·9h
Sullivan on DeSmith: "I think we put Case in a tough spot tonight. The intent was to get him a couple practices and get him more reps. When Louis went down in the morning skate, it forced our hand. We know he's a good goaltender. We have to help him get to his very best game."
Sullivan is correct, DeSmith was put in a tough spot. He's incorrect in a couple of practices are going to get him to his very best game. Send him to the minors, bring up D'Orio. The Pens may need to sacrifice one or two games now to be better later in the year and into the playoffs.

Sullivan has some decisions to make on the forward lines:
Kapanen continues to play his way out of the top six.
ZAR may have played his way out of the top twelve.
Neither played much after the halfway point in the game. I know ZAR took a puck to the knee but that isn't why he was benched. His play was bad, NST has him playing his final shift toward the end of the second period. In reality Simon played that shift (1 CF v 0CA) and continued in that role in third. |

Really like how we are moving the puck right now. Makes things easy when we play smart. |
