Right after the AHL incident this week. Sad that this still exists in 2022
- Nucker101

It will always exist. If you can still have certain people willing to murder, you can still have certain people that are willing to use hurtful words and actions in society. Doesn't matter if it's 1922 or 2022.

What was the name of the player we got from Toronto that was always out of shape? Kyle something ?

Abby Canucks had a player tonight , the first Japanese born player to score an AHL goal. His conditioning looked like Jake or that guy Kyle .

cool story though, always nice to see pro players from non traditional hockey countries, it’s good for the game

Why is a disproportionate amount of Canuck players getting covid? I don’t know a single person with it. I personally know about three people who’ve had it. What the (frank) are they doing in that locker room?
- bloatedmosquito

Do your people live in a bubble? I’m in the States at the moment but all my buddies back home have it right now as well as my siblings

Ya, I think it stems from the culture in all professional sports. In the hockey world, racism is a big issue, in this pre-dominantly white sport.
Teams have no issues hiring or signing white men who have some questionable pasts.
Take a look at Vancouver and their hiring of Rutherford, who covered up the Aaron Ward wife-beating situation, the Carolina Hurricanes signing Anthony Deangelo, even after being let go by another team, Lou L'amoriello and US Hockey and the cover up of Reid Boucher sexual assault of a 12 year-old.
Hockey appears to breed the dregs of sport.

Yet no one gives a poop about Tyson and his convictions of 2 counts of rape. How does a piece of poop like that escape all the scrutiny in a woke culture in 2022? Escape is putting it lightly.... he's incredibly popular. Even in here many people hold him in high regard.

Not sure what he has to do with what you bolded, as he is neither white, nor is he involved in hockey

Sorry, didn't realize there was a race boundary when talking about abuse, sexual abuse, rape racism and other horrible things athletes can be guilty of.

Game could have went either way. Koskinen actually played well for a change and was the difference. Flames out chanced the Oil quite handily for the most part.

Every person on my hockey team down here has had Covid except two of us, and I may have had it and didn’t even know it considering my wife had it. Probably because I’m in incredible physical shape and healthy like few others.

I suspect more people have had it, and didn’t even know it, than people know about.
