They're so bad that he should have been gone with the AV and Therrien. Don't want Lappy (Phantoms) moved up cause I don't think he's any good or has enough experience. Maybe just have one of the off-bench coaches or let them coach themselves (like in Slap Shot). Don't thinker Fletcher has done his job here—among other things, although his hand may have been forced—but I kind of understand: there aren't many with NHL head coaching experience that'll take over this disaster (especially when still having to pay coaches that are already gone).
Didn't watch the game today (will be ffwding the DVR) but he did some really dumb stuff on Thur night: putting L4 just before pulling Hart for the 6-on-5, and then calling a timeout during the empty net when the CBJ players iced the puck and were complete toast (he wanted to rest the line that was already out there but I still think they would have been better just doing a change as they were also really gassed).

but isn't this "disaster" a case of a team that isn't playing to expectations, and that technically has enough pieces to make it work?
The first is something meaningful because of its historic significance, but in terms of pure entertainment, it'll be lower in my priority as if I were to be first time viewer, as there are others that overall have more entertainment value (and better graphics).
I don't know if it's already been done, even on a minimum level, but I would think it's be great if they completely redid the animation with the latest capabilities. But I'm guessing that it doesn't make too much monetary sense to do such a thing.
I'll tell you again, give the Flys time to get worse than the Habs. A 10 loss streak followed with a 2nd 11 loss streak, all while the season is basically half over.

i think hextall may have had the right idea, just trying not to make compulsive trade for the now like they'd done for so many years and dealing with the pain now to maybe have some picks in the draft and stuff. but he went about his day to day all wrong and everyone apparently despised him.
