the only way I could see this happening, and it's a very very long shot, would be if they want some vets/leadership to surround the kids. Bergeron to teach Suzuki, Letang to show Guhle and Romanov...
but 1- they would need to find the cap space, and 2- these 2 would need to want to sign here knowing their cup hopes is nil. so yeah, won't happen.

a team built around Suzuki, Romy, Toffs, Anderson, Guhle, Harris, CC, Lehky ( the daily effort is amazing) throw in Evans and Poehling...and there is a def nucleus....they need a few draft breaks....I don't see Price staying long term, but if he does stay then great....he will help these kids fight through the Montreal press jungle....does anyone have confidence in Cayden?...Gally, Petry, Chiarot, Byron ( man crush for his intensity and determination), Hoffman...all bring back major picks in 22/23.....

He is in the exact same contract position Allen is, seems to be playing well, and one must wonder where he would fit looking at next year. I know, Price is being traded.....I do not see that happening, but if the Habs retain enough money, perhaps it does. Allen might get resigned, but I think maybe not.....
