There’s never been anyone I’ve enjoyed watching play the game more. I’m convinced at this point there never will be. He was an artist on the ice, straight up.
As far as 21 vs 88?
There’s been No one like Big E before of since either. An animal, a beast. But one guy played with Joe Sakic and had Patrick Roy goaltending, and the other didn’t. Both had big problems staying healthy. - FloHaake
Exactly. An artist housed in the body of a wolf. |

Should be able to stop a team with 13 seconds left from getting into FG range.
For a great as these games were, Tampa Bay, Buffalo and even KC had some major gaffes yesterday. - Pelle31Forever
It got a little ridiculous in both team's secondary towards the end.
But watching such qb play needed at the highest levels made me pessimistic about Hurts. You can polish what have; but can you develop what you don't to this degree? |

He did, but he's as much to blame for this mess as Fletcher is. Almost all of the players he drafted, traded for or acquired via free agency have fallen short of expectations or been shipped elsewhere (Ghost is the only one having a somewhat respectable season). Not to mention the picks he flat out whiffed on. It's an organizational failure from top to bottom and has been headed this way for a long time. |

100% plenty plenty blame all around.
Yet Saint Ronnies son still gives him a pass and refuses to acknowledge his hand in this mess.
If Saint Ronnie fans didn't think he got enough time to do his job and was fired to early. How long should the current GM get then?

They're all culpable; some to a greater extent than others. While the organization has had some terrible luck since 1975 (Habs/Isles/Oilers dynasties), they have also not done themselves any favors with the antiquated thinking and hanging onto past glories. |

Just go look at his track record with drafting. In some ways it's downright atrocious and it a good part of the reason that this team has no organizational depth. |

Most often times, they do, however there are injuries/accidents that happen that completely change the fortunes of a team that no one could foresee or plan for.

My son said it best to me when the OT started, why not just play the quarter out and see who is winning, and if no one is, play another quarter. Sudden death makes no sense when only 1 team gets the ball. At a minimum give 1 possession to both teams! |

I told you all at the beginning of the season that you cannot count on Allison, his season is done. If its not his knee, its his ankle, not his ankle its his wrist, not his wrist go back to the knee. This guy is toast I'm sad to say. However there are no excuses here, no one should have expected anything from Allison this year. Same with Couts and Hayes, and maybe even Ellis BTW. |

I could care less what Hextall's plan was, I care only what the Flyers plan is moving forward. I put my 10 point plan out there for all to criticize and laugh at, who else has some concrete plans on what to do if you were the Flyers right now? |

Thats not what you said. You thought he was out long term due to needing surgery because you dont understand what a high ankle sprain is |

They flyers imo have no plan moving forward. They are probably so shocked at this pint they do not know what to do.
What is your plan? Lets review it.
My plan involves a total complete reorganization of the management side. That has to be the first step. That will not happen. At least not during the season.
You need to sell sell and sell some more. However I do not have any faith in the current management to complete and execute this plan.
There is a part of me that this group still lives in denial and thinks they can compete and it was injuires that derailed them.

I know this year has been a complete disaster. Anyone that says injuries have not played a HUGE part in this season is in denial! I count 10 injured players off the top of my head. Our top RD1, has play 4 freaking games. Centers? #1 out, #2 out, #3 out, #4 out, #5 out. Not a player on the team tasked to play center this year is available. Other d men and a couple wingers are out. 10 guys out. Half the team. All long term. If the replacements were as good they would already have those jobs somewhere. Not saying changes aren't needed. Not saying Fletchers the guy to make them.
Just would have been nice to have a chance to see what the team as assembled looks like on the ice.
I'd love to see a cup. It's been 50 years. I'm 66 and wasn't a Flyers fan then. But I watch the games to route for my team and to be ENTERTAINED. My life isn't over if they lose. I want them to do well and be competitive. These last two years have really hurt combined with lock downs. I'm disabled as it is so not a lot going on in my life.
Flyers are a big part. It's just really sad these last years. But injuries have been huge. |

I posted my 10-point plan the other day, basically (and you will not like this totally) is to keep Fletcher has President of hockey Ops, hire a new GM (I suggested Stacey Roest from Tampa), keep Flahr as director of Scouting, have new GM hire head coach (I suggested Lane Lambert from the Islanders staff), Trade G, Risto, JVR, Braun and Jones at the deadline, pick top 5 this draft (I suggest the center Lambert from Finland), stay away from big FA signings, play all the kids next year, pick top 5 next year to get another young highly skilled player, be ready to contend in 2024.
