I believe Lou should have traded him a long time ago to be honest. Like everyone says he takes way to much time off. I mean like Bailey he grinds it out a couple of weeks a year and then you don’t hear from him at all. I truly thought he would not get another contract. I mean Parise out plays him and so does czarnick |

Anthony Beauvillier has played the Rangers 24 times .. he has a Hat trick, and two games where he scored twice. He has a total of 13 goals and 11 assists in those games. So he is a point a game player against our biggest rival... but yeah Lou should have traded him.. lol
The kid comes up huge in big games for the Isles. He gives you 100% every shift, but if he doesn't score every game you guys want to trade him.. LOL |

I don't know where the Tito hate is coming from. It seems to me that he's hustling pretty much every shift. I sure as sh!t don't see Bailey working as hard as Tito. There might be one shift from time to time that he's not going 100%, but I usually see him moving and trying to generate something. He's not a high-end sniper and was never touted as one. Yeah, he'll put in some goals, but he wasn't ever expected to pop 40-50 a year. Also, he's only 24 years old, so he's coming into his prime. Maybe I'm in the minority on this one. I think the kid is good and doing what he is supposed to do. Sure he makes a mistake now and then but he's not the only one that does. |

Just so I'm clear, what is it that you don't like about his game? What were your expectations of him? What expectations hasn't he met?

I see the mistakes also while most on here see someone that works hard. I see someone that flies around out there and more often then not does little to nothing or sometimes, especially this season, has a negative effect on whatever line he’s on. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I for one don’t think he’s worth the roster spot for the 20 good games he has over an 82 game season. Him being in the top 6 is exactly what’s wrong with this team imo. - Cptmjl
I definitely agree that he seems to be the epitome of 'working hard. Not smart'. He's a speedy kid with slightly above average hands. Early on I remember some predicting he could score 30-40 goals, which never seemed likely to me and seems laughable in retrospect. He certainly could be a piece for a trade, but the return needs to someone who can hit that top line

He certainly isn't without value. He definitely hustles and seems like a good kid. We definitely have bigger issues than him. I thought it was funny when Butch predicted he would hit 40 goals in 2018, although I'm sure Butch thought he would become Barzals linemate.
My biggest concern with Beau is that he lacks consistency on a team full of forwards who lack consistency. He really hasnt imroved much since his second season, so prime or not he aopears to have plateaued. He is a speedy forward who can pop 15-20 goals a year but has his share of lapses.
That said, we seem to be hurting in the speed and goal dept, so unless he brings a return for a forward who is better in both categories, we can't let him go |

I have absolutely zero issue with Beau. He was a late 1st round pick and if he ends up peaking as a 50ish point middle-six forward then that's totally fine. Every team needs that kind of depth and hustle.
He's essentially a more skilled Carl Hagelin and that's valuable. |

Define consistency. Are you talking about goal production? Point production? He's 24 and been in the league for 5 years (this being year 6). He averages 17-18 goals per season (17.4 to be exact [regular season only]). I'm just trying to figure out what it is that people are now hating about him. What part of his game is now infuriating you guys. |

I have no issue with him either. He's going to get 15-20 goals a year and about 25-40 points a year. He also is playing on a team that is defense first. I don't think he'll ever be a 40 goal scorer. He was never pegged to be a top 3 forward with elite scoring ability. |

I don't disagree that his scoring is a bit inconsistent and he tends to be either hot or cold in that department. But he's still relatively young and there's still room to grow his game. He's talented enough to play in all three situations and hold his own, that versatility is valuable in and of itself.
If you take his career points per game and extrapolate it over a full 82 game season every year he's sitting at a career .47ppg. Last year was his most productive year at .6ppg over a full 82gm season. Career low was 18-19 season when he sat at about .35ppg, or 28pts over a full season. He's not far off his career average at .42ppg this season.
Bolded below are career avg PPG and points over an 82gm season:
16-17 0.36 29.82
17-18 0.51 41.58
18-19 0.35 28.35
19-20 0.57 47.03
20-21 0.60 48.85
21-22 0.42 34.39
0.47 38.33 |

You’re so fixated on the Rangers who gives a (frank) how many points he has against the Rangers? In five seasons he has scored more then 20 goals once(21) and has never broke 40 points
I’m more concerned with his countless 10-15 game pointless droughts and inconsistency coupled with subpar play.
But hey he had a few good games against the Rangers so thank god we signed him

Oliver Wahlstrom back in the lineup tonight…I think. Trotz says he’s “in the mix.” Says he just wants to see more consistency from the young forward, who was benched for the third period two games ago and was a scratch on Saturday against Toronto |

Maybe, but still a lot of value to be had there. Especially if his contract stays low. Guys like Hagelin/Coleman/Gourde/Goodrow/Burakovsky/etc... were all important parts of their teams' success winning the Cup. There's no doubt his scoring is up and down, but unless we're getting a big piece in a trade...I'm more than happy to have him in the lineup every night. |

I honestly think trotz is out of answers and just kind of flailing a bit. He can’t commit to giving anyone under the age of 25 any kind of consistent ice time for whatever reason so his options are limited. - Cptmjl
Trotz will not do that because the Isles are not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. I think the kids should play. If they are making mistakes that are costing you games I get it. However, there are plenty of vets making those same mistakes. |
