I’m fine with Beau as a 3rd line player because that’s what he is. - Cptmjl
AB's biggest issue is consistency. He shows you flashes of a high end forward than disappears. This Islander lineup is filled with third liners. Need AB to perform as 2nd line guy.
Anthony Beauvillier has played the Rangers 24 times .. he has a Hat trick, and two games where he scored twice. He has a total of 13 goals and 11 assists in those games. So he is a point a game player against our biggest rival... but yeah Lou should have traded him.. lol
The kid comes up huge in big games for the Isles. He gives you 100% every shift, but if he doesn't score every game you guys want to trade him.. LOL - niteislander
Okay but how does he perform against the 30 teams. It would great if played Rags everyday. Need to get into the playoffs for his playoff stats to mean something. I felt the same way about Nelson. But he is slowly becoming consistent and not just an October explosion. AB is good but not untradable.
You’re so fixated on the Rangers who gives a (frank) how many points he has against the Rangers? In five seasons he has scored more then 20 goals once(21) and has never broke 40 points
I’m more concerned with his countless 10-15 game pointless droughts and inconsistency coupled with subpar play.
But hey he had a few good games against the Rangers so thank god we signed him - Cptmjl
The point is the kid comes up big in big moments, Ranger's games, Playoffs, etc. He may have droughts but so do a lot of players. He seems to get hot at the best times. The kid is 5'10" and 180 lbs but is better on the boards than most of the players on this team not on the 4th line. >> he is around a 20 goal a year player. He is also only 24 years old and still going to get better.

AB can be better but it is up to AB. - Nfdbulldawg
Not entirely. If his linemates, *cough*Bailey*cough*, aren't pulling their weight, hustling or backchecking and Tito is, then his numbers are going to reflect that as well. He's also playing in a defense-first system.
I'm also not against him part of a package in a trade. Everybody is tradeable for the right return. For example, pretty sure we'd all agree that Barzal is "untouchable" in terms of trade. But would you trade Barzal and a 1st for McDavid? Of course that trade offer would NEVER happen, but I think you get my point.

His best goal scoring year was 21. He's typically 15-18 goals a year (not including playoffs). Chiefs posted his career stats on the previous page. I don't see him ever being even a 30 goal scorer, but he hustles, he's in the play pretty much every shift and he plays with heart. I don't have any problems with him.
Maybe, but still a lot of value to be had there. Especially if his contract stays low. Guys like Hagelin/Coleman/Gourde/Goodrow/Burakovsky/etc... were all important parts of their teams' success winning the Cup. There's no doubt his scoring is up and down, but unless we're getting a big piece in a trade...I'm more than happy to have him in the lineup every night. - eichiefs9
So am I as a third liner but he’s not utilized that way.

Bailey also showed flashes of working hard. But we all know he's a set-up man and he hasn't scored more than 18 goals in a season for the Islanders. At least Tito is out there busting his hump, not just floating around. But here's the thing with me. I'm always going to root for the Islanders. Even if Bailey had zero points for the entire season and playoffs but scored the game winner in OT to win the cup, I'd be jumping up & down and screaming like a madman. At the end of the day, I just want them to win the cup. And in the moment when that happens, not a single one of us will be thinking about stats.

Keep in mind not all of his seasons have been full-seasons. Last year he had 15g in 47gp, which is a pace of about 26g over a full season.
I think the whole debate boils down to what people viewed him as over the last few years. If you're expecting a top-line, point producing talent...he's probably been a disappointment. If you see him as a middle-six forward that plays ES/PP/PK with energy and has come up big in big games....then you're probably fine with him.
Bottom line is that he's an important cog in the wheel of this team for now. He's not a bonafide star and likely won't ever be, so he's moveable and, if trading him makes the team better, than I'm all for it. But otherwise, I'm happy he plays for us.

I don’t agree with his board play I think it’s subpar. Kid crashes along the boards and pretty much never comes out with the puck. That’s his patented move. Skate the puck into the boards and cough up the puck. 2nd bold there’s nothing that is telling us that pretty much just the opposite of him getting better is what happening so far this year.

Our leader in points has 24. Our leading goal scorer has 13. That's absolute crap numbers as a team. I just don't see how you can try to pin it on one guy. The entire teams numbers are down. Makes sense that his numbers are down as well. If you don't like him, you don't like him. I'm not against him getting traded, but to me he is what he is. And I'm fine with it.

Wow we must have lost the last game, the sky is falling once again. Barry sucks, can’t ice a proper lineup, hates the youngsters and Bailey blows. Lou has dementia and we need to strip it down and rebuild.
JC this (frank)ing fan base is so predictable it’s nauseating.

But you suck and blow.
Yeah it is. It's part of the reason I disappeared for a while last year.
Ok, so my verbiage wasn't what I was trying to convey(just reread it). You're saying he sucks because his numbers are down. Which, I'm assuming, you mean he's inconsistent. My point was that the whole fvcking teams numbers are down. I think it's hard to blame his lower numbers on game play or lack of consistency when nobody else on the team has even remotely decent numbers when compared to the rest of the league. Again, you don't like, that's fine. I won't hold that against you.

I definitely suck
I mean it’s the same old shat show if they lose and rainbows and unicorns when they win.
The Tito hate us laughable. I look at him like a John Tonelli type player. Great forechecker typically on the puck first and plays well on the wall. Great skater with speed and a good shot. Scores important goals and ups his game in the POs. Not to mention he’s still young.
Can’t believe the shat I’m reading.
Agree with you and Chiefs 100% on AB.

I’m saying this is him pretty much. He’s a decent third line winger playing in the top 6. He’s a not good top six player which he’s not imo. That’s it. Also, I’ll add this has nothing to do with them losing the last game for the usual, gross, overreaction to my post (not yours)from two days ago
I mean, there's irrefutable evidence of your wife playing "Pin the blame on the Beau" with you just the other day:
Not sure how you could say that's not what you're doing here - eichiefs9
Yes of course me thinking Beau is overrated by fans on here means I hate trotz and lameriello and want them fired. Also, I just don’t like Beau because we lost the last game and I blame him for it. In fact I blame Beauvillier for all of the teams losses this season. I mean obviously that’s what I’m saying. This thread my god, I’m literally one of the only people saying I’m keeping the faith for this team making the playoffs yet I’m “jumping off the ledge”.

Not an overreaction at all ...
You know what's really nauseating? The people who come on a chat room where people are discussing a team and go bananas when they read the discussion. "OH MY GOD JUST FIRE EVERYONE ... PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING!!" That's a bit nauseating.
What do you think you will read here every day? .. everyone just praising every player, coach and GM on a team that is one loss away from Dead last in the league?
Fans vent, criticize, and complain on message boards about their team. You might want to grasp understand that.... it doesn't mean they think the sky is falling.. it means they are fans. you can agree or disagree with someone's take. To just call an entire fan base "predictable and nauseating" b/c they are having a discussion is .. well Nauseating.
Kevin Kurz @KKurzNHL
4m Oliver Wahlstrom back in the lineup tonight…I think. Trotz says he’s “in the mix.” Says he just wants to see more consistency from the young forward, who was benched for the third period two games ago and was a scratch on Saturday against Toronto - eichiefs9
