Kind of? - Reubenkincade
Kind of because I fully expect the Rangers to be buyers. What direction they take is up in the air. However I hope it starts with either a move for a rental like Pavelski/Giroux or for Miller who would be a 2 year rental, with the option to keep. I also expect something to address our need for a 3LHD. |

What do you think is a realistic cost for 1 of those forwards? |

Watching this team we need a LHD to go anywhere this year. Miller has regressed some but there’s no way we should be trading him, get a guy to pair with Trouba and let Schneider and Miller develop together on the 3rd pair. I like Soucy and felt we should’ve made a move for him last year but think he’d be perfect with Trouba. Nemeth would have to go back the other way but I could see them taking Nemeth if we gave them Kravtsov. |

Not sure if this is ever discussed or debated or what not but..kind of a radical thought..they should send all 3 of Laf Kakko and Barron have them play together every night in every facet. Build chemistry become what would hopefully become at worst a 3rd line. None of this a knock on Barron, all of it directed at the other two prized possessions. They are just not doing enough and need either a wake up call, or confidence boost via some production. Most uneventful shifts by 1-2 picks I’ve ever seen. Cmon let’s goooo. Maybe getting them out of the spotlight where they can just play and build chemistry. Have them come up for rd 1 of the playoffs poised and ready to contribute.
Thank god Laf scored on that shootout. Never would’ve heard the end of it lol - Slimtj100
the problem with that is who is playing here every night then
they almost went with 11 forwards 7 defensemen as it is last night
but Kakko is gonna be out awhile, Lafreniere is just gonna keep playing, they need him

With all the ACGM’s Ive done and seen heres what Ive seen…
Dallas fans seem to be plenty happy with a 1st and Pajuniemi. They just want some kind of decent prospect coming back for Pavelski. Philly fans want a 1st and Kravtsov for Giroux.
Some VAN fans are intent on wanting Schneider and a 1st for Miller, however an offer of Lundkvist, Chytil and a 1st works for many as well. The caveat is we need retention here. |

Id prefer we go with someone that doesnt have any years on their contract. Next year will be tricky to skirt the cap.
If Calvin De Haan or Brayden McNabb are available, Id try for them. |

My concern is what if strome has already priced himself out on NY, we trade assets for a single year and then have to try to find some magic in UFA? I just hope Drury knows what he's doing ha |

next year we wont have millions in cap space at the deadline like we will this year, this is an opportunity we wont have the next few years
I think they gotta go for it

That’s why I think Miller is the best target for the current status of the team. Deal with next year, next year.
Does anyone know if he and Goodrow ever played together on a line in TB? Results? |

I don't like how Vancouver is changing around their front office right now, going to frank up my Miller coming home dream |

Also I know people are hesitant about making a big trade but it seems pretty evident Drury is trying hard to make a move. Might as well try to get excited cause it seems like its happening at some point |

This is a point I made before.
If Strome has knowingly priced himself out then we need to make the move for Miller now this way we have something in the fold for next year and we might be able to resign him later. |

I was thinking, if we got Miller, wouldnt it be fun to reunite him with Kreider on a line?

Kreider, Miller, Kakko |

you can have all the valid reasoning in the world for doing it
but, suggesting Kreider and Zib will be split up is a waste of time

I just can't see Gallant breaking up Kreider and Zib. He has refused to try it yet |

This should be Gallant all the way, just based on preseason expectations and the result so far. |
