He was actually the GM of the Penguins for 13 days. After Rutherford quit but before Hextall was hired.

must be a broken bone in his ankle then

How they didn't run Dell over in a blowout win after he took out arguably their best forward is mind boggling

Technically, he’s the most experienced GM since…

Crap, I can’t think of a single General Manager who had previous General Manager experience

Who wants a fired GM anyways?

How often do successful GM’s move on to another team not named Yzerman?

GM’s sink teams faster than coaches so rather go with AGM’s who come up through the ranks.

JR said that he’s going to play a role in any big moves made so the lack of experience shouldn’t be a huge deal. I’m more interested to see how Allvin operates as a player evaluator, his philosophy on building a team, revamping scouting and player development, communication with staff/players, being a leader in the organization, etc.

Mine neither, but to some that is all that matters. How does one become experienced? You get mentored, or did Rutherford come out of the womb as experienced.

Never liked the Flyers ever starting with Clarke yet I still picked Hart.

Now that I pumped his tires he’s still up for a swap. 🤪

I don't care that the guy only has 13 long days of experience but a very hot topic over the last couple of years on here has been the hiring of first time President a first time coach and a first time GM . I am just pointing out we just hired our third first time GM again.

I don't know the guy so I can't say if I like him or not.

Mine is the 1st big trade. 1st order of business is deciding if to push for the PO’s or think longer term & make roster changes. J’m with redesigning the make up & be proactive asap.
