you're definitely a half-glass full kinda guy then. This roster is pretty mediocre. The core itself is mediocre cokapred to legit playoff teams imo

I think our scouts have not been changed so I am not sure the new regime will have an immediate impact.

Third rounders are long shots. Schenn has two rings and is adding stability with Hughes. He adds toughness and has a great contract. I want more than a third for him.

Outside of Hughes and Demko, I'm not really attached to anyone long term on this team right now. I wouldn't sell low on EP either. I think Sat Shah said the other day that those 3 aren't getting traded and anyone else is on the table.

Outside of Hughes and Demko, I'm not really attached to anyone long term on this team right now. I wouldn't sell low on EP either. I think Sat Shah said the other day that those 3 aren't getting traded and anyone else is on the table.

Good young role players, but not franchise building blocks imo. I wouldn't be actively shopping them or moving them for older players but if someone wants to overpay, then have it.

And Hog is one of my fave players on the team, but I recognize his limitations.

Basically I would be unlikely to trade them either, but if Ottawa decided to be stupid and offer me Tim Stuetzle for both, I'd happily drive them to the airport.
