Hopefully Palmieri turns his season around and gets going. If players like him, Beau, even Bailey start getting their act together here at the almost half way point we can actually make a push. Capitals are starting to falter a bit. Great to see Parise starting to get rewarded with some points finally god knows the guy has earned it.

Think he comes back as 1RW?

Still have no idea what he was referring too.

I think he meant the site was vulnerable to some sort of malware/cyber attacks? That it wasn't a particularly secure website? If that's not it, I got nothing

I'm going to miss Salo when Pulock is back in the lineup. He's got some room to grow but he's going to be a player for sure.

Not really sure with that one but I wouldn’t be opposed to it. No one seems to be working there so I see no issue with giving it a shot again. If it does happen hopefully he takes the ball and runs with it. Trotz may also ease him in to get dialed in with his timing again but who knows.

Agreed hopefully trotz gives someone like Chara and or Greene some breaks here and there and plays Salo in spots throughout the rest of the season but couldn’t be happier to getting Pulock back. He was missed.

I thought that but all of those stupid things that pop up occasionally Ek is actually paid for allowing it so “attacked” is not the most accurate description

I think Salo's play has given him the option to do that with the condensed schedule the rest of the way. Half of me wants him to go back to Bridgeport and get top-pairing minutes and be a star, but the other half also thinks he's earned a spot with the big club.

To me he 100% has earned a spot with the big club but I think his game will only improve if he goes back to Bridgeport long term. Now he has a good idea of what to expect in the nhl with the speed of the game, etc. He can build on that in Bridgeport and like I said hopefully trotz gives these older guys some breaks along the way and he gets some more looks. I don’t look at him going down as a negative unless Chara really starts crapping the bed again.

I'd agree about going back to the AHL. The good thing is that Bridgeport is only about an hour's drive away. Aho can stay with the team in the event something last-minute happens and we need a body, Salo can continue to develop playing in Bridgeport.

I like Varly’s chances against him tonight he has a pretty subpar sv% even though he’s got some wins. Hopefully Varlamov doesn’t spot the Kings a couple like he has been doing lately.

Apropos of nothing, except maybe Clark Gillies' recent passing, I stumbled on this video of an old-fashioned bench-clearing brawl between the Flyers and Islanders. Watch Jethro go to town on some unlucky Flyer. I think they changed the rules a few years later to put an end to the bench-clearing brawls.

I have a lot of respect for anyone that threw down with Gillies. Staring down a pissed off Jethro must have been terrifying.

Yeah, the pop-up ads were crazy and then I got redirect to some malware site.

I mean, it’s never great, but after that I didn’t want to risk even coming on the site.
