No, these are the responses you get when you’re you. Miserable. I threw a name and a team out there as an example. It doesn’t mean that team or that player. The point as you missed (no surprise) the Flyers cannot miss on trading Claude Giroux.

As he grows even more into his body this kid is a cornerstone for the kings for the next decade. Not sure a top end first line…but easily top 6 forward who can do it all. He’s huge, he can skate like the wind and has a pro shot. Pipe dream that he is actually traded in the next few years unless he flops like our former # 2 pick.

Byfield gets Malkin comparisons based on his size and skillset but I'm not sure that's fair or even realistic. If he tops out at 50-60+ pts a year and is a presence on PP 1 (or 2) and PK1, then you have him and Danault down the middle with Kopitar at 3C getting fewer minutes with more offensive zone starts. In other words, while he has a long way to go, NO ONE would be bummed if Byfield ends up like Couturier instead of Malkin. That would be an enormous success for the team.

Blake is building this team down the middle and the lack of success of Vilardi early on and the handling of Turcotte indicate to me that the team wants 200' forwards who will not compromise on defense. That also explains how Moore and Lizzote are favored over guys like Anderson-Dolan (who is producing at AHL), Kupari, and Fagemo.

What you’re missing is a realistic return. It’s not going to be quinton Byfield or Alex Newhook. I think it will probably be a first round pick and a decent prospect / or a guy like Tyson Jost. You’re not going to get a top prospect among the whole league.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. If the Flyers move Claude, they'll get a first and a prospect, no? That's not bad considering the work that needs to be done on the roster.

No, not a bad return at all. Definitely something I could live with.

Edit

If Morgan Frost played for another team and this other team wanted Giroux, I think I would part for Frost if it meant getting a cup this year.

Not at all a miserable response. No job. Likely not getting. So he comes here to argue about Ron Hextall everyday. Thanks for the welcome but not the best party you host.

Classy presentation by the Flyers for Yandle. Whether you like him or not, appreciate him or not, it’s a major accomplishment. Congrats to Keith Yandle for getting to do something most of us have only dreamed of doing, and getting to do it for so long.

I don’t think Byfeild will disappoint at all. I’m not sure I see the skill level of a Malkin, but that’s not to say it’s not high end. Beyond popular belief having immense talent doesn’t mean you cant be a 200 ft player. That has more to do with work ethic and I think this guy has it all. Crazy athletic. Sky’s the limit.

Gott love putting Isaac with 2 slugs. amazing what this organization does not understand.

Just keep Cates there in a 4th line role then.

- hello it's me 2050

I agree on a macro level. But it his his first NHL game. If I was Yeo I would do the same thing at least to start. Let him get his NHL legs by putting him out there in some low pressure situations and then maybe move him up for a few shifts as the game moves on.

Where exactly should he be playing though? Certainly not on the top two lines. The fact is the bottom 6 has plenty of slugs right now.

Given LAK's playoff history since 2014? I'll take that for a few years as the team develops and gets better. Until this year, it has been 8 years of patting ourselves on the back for '12 and '14, and talking about how awesome Dustin Brown is for his big hits every 10 games while he falls down and shoots into the net in the other 9.

I tell ya, I would be infinitely more patient with the Flyers if they had two cups under their belts as recently as the Kings.

But I get your point.
