That brain fart in the first was just inexcusable...i nearly chucked the remote at the TV seriously...It's hard to keep watching that while the NFL is showing nail biting playoffs action.

thanks Karine. I guess a positive for you through such a predictably awful season is that you can prepare a huge part of your blog in advance...

concerning the "conférence de Price" (lol), I think there was zero new information given but I found he did seem to be in good spirits, and confirmed that the plan was to indeed try to make a return this season, even if that possibility is still a huge question mark at this stage. oh well.

6 goals against is better than 7 or 8!

Karine, after reading, and posts last blog, what do you think about the danger of, ala Expos, selling off all their best players (stars or not) to get players via the draft, just to repeat the process over and over...I remember the lockout was the first session since the Expos of the early 80s I was excited, only to have everything screwed up by the lockout.

it's not at all the same situation. Expos traded their players because they didn't have the money to pay them. not the case for the Habs.
Habs need to find elite talent. you won't sign them as UFA, and it will be difficult to trade for them, even though Eichel was traded, Stone was traded, Jones was traded, Dahlin was traded...
chances are they will have to draft them.

you mean in terms of getting baseball back, right? because that would be more plausible.

Spring training '95 broke me, man.

Every time Kevin Malone opened his mouth, it was because he could not sign one of his players or he traded away another star player for less than a bag of baseballs.

Broke me as an Expos fan, and that day, baseball died in my heart.

This is just after the Habs got scored on (5th goal), when they just got back in the game and had a few good minutes in the offensive zone but couldn't score.

Nice (frank)ing country club.

I remember being like 12 years old... my allowance was $5 a week.

My friend and I would take the bus from the West Island down to the big owe, buy a bleacher seat ($1) and get a hit dog a pop ($1.50).

We did that 2 times a week, if they were in town.

I loved baseball back then, perhaps as much (or maybe even more than) hockey.

The voices of baseball, for me, will always be Dave VanHorn and Duke Snider.

exact same experience for me, but from the east side of town. very difficult to explain why baseball is so fun to people who never went as a kid or never played.
and yes, still today, I prefer baseball over hockey. maybe because Habs have been sucking for over 20 years lol
