I like it when he and Bieksa are trading barbs. He's good at breaking news, and has a lot of intel around the league. But that's really hard to stretch out as much as he's on air – he doesn't have good commentary into the moment by moment game. And that's fine.. he's just being shoved into a role that doesn't suit him fully.

Scoring is killing them. Colorado is plus 30, Pitt, Carolina around plus 20.

Canucks plus 1 in 5v5 scoring.

Of course. They need to be willing both match ups, but it means they're -10 on special teams. More scoring and more scoring depth is needed for sure. Would help if our defense could put some goals up

There's quite a few that are below career averages.

Looking at puck posession, the Canucks are playing the right way. They just aren't scoring enough.

Richardinson is brutal. Garland was hot and has gone cold.

Problem is, teams are probably more willing to pay more at this TDL since they'll have him for 1.5 years. So if the Canucks want the best return (and a quicker turn around) trading him now at this TDL is a better long-term strategy.

Detroit in the East sits 3rd at .500 in the wild card race. In the West they would be 8th. Canucks have to gain about .070 points on half a dozen teams to make the playoffs.

Problem is, teams are probably more willing to pay more at this TDL since they'll have him for 1.5 years. So if the Canucks want the best return (and a quicker turn around) trading him now at this TDL is a better long-term strategy.
