I would love to see what this team can do in the playoffs. Big heart Bruce has said.

Rangers traded Miller and others and what are they doing now, going to trade for him more than what they got for him.

Miller isn't a UFA this off season. Unless a team is giving you a boatload that you got wide eyed at. Deal with it in the off season.

The cupboards aren't as sad as most make them out to be. Obviously trading away 2 recent first round picks has made a hole at the top end but you have Miller and Garland to show for it.

- manvanfan

They traded an under-producing 3rd line Miller 5 years ago under a different management and different team makeup. Don't think anyone's ego would get in the way of making their team better with a 1st line PPG Miller. Everyone loves a good reunion story.

Again, from reading what all the "insiders" say, teams are willing to pay more at this TDL than at the draft/next TDL for him. So, if you want to maximize your return, you can't wait til the offseason.

The cupboards are pretty sad, man.. lol. The team needs top end players and prospects – having Miller and Garland is great, this isn't about how good these players are because Miller is a beast, but rather do they fit the window of the team in terms of age and contract/raises. IMO Miller doesn't, and he's the best trade chip to get players back to fit that window.

I'd love to see them in the playoffs, I'm not cheering against them like we all have in recent years for drafts. I just don't see them helping themselves in the long run of it – could they beat the Avs or Vegas in a 7 game series? Carolina Florida Tampa? I want the team to be in that class of team, and they aren't.

Sorry but you got to be smarter than this. Can’t paint everyone with the same brush.I’m fully vaccinated but it’s time to open the country back up. The fear mongering is way out of hand. Vaccine passports need to go, they are past their due date.

It's a disgusting display of racism, anti-Semitism and desecration of national monuments. It's an orgy of selfishness. Attacking a homeless shelter soup kitchen and defecating on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is not a way to garner sympathy.
You keep crying for your freedom on the beaches of Mexico.

9th best team in win percentage with a lot of under performing players since they got a coach.

You and I just have a very different idea of where the team is at and how long the much the larger portion of prospects take to make an impact.

Good talk 😁

We can both agree, we want them to keep winning. Sneaking into the playoffs will still be a tall task. One or two players not named Miller or Demko to get hot.

Still a big hill to climb to get to the playoffs, lots of teams to pass. Will be an interesting couple months until the TDL

I'm just saying photoshops are being posted often. Just the other day a photoshop of a supposed antifa flag was being debunked. The claim was they borrowed it from Nazi Germany. In the end, it was a photoshopped National Front flag from Briton trying to discredit antifa. I've seen dozens of photoshops trying to connect right wingers into nazi extremists. Most people are ignorant to the differences between a conservative or nationalist and a white supremist so they fall for it. Seems both right and left are playing this game.

Didn't Nazi Germany called themselves Nationalists before they called themselves Nazi's?

I agree about opening things up, but disagree about passports needing to go. Anti-Vaxx thinking has no place in a society with the resources/access to knowledge we have available today.

No. They called themselves Nationalist Socialists. And they never called themselves Nazis.

Are you going to link nazis to socialists now?

Their party is, as you said, the National Socialist German Workers' Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei)... in all the information boards and plaques here in Berlin it's always "National Socialist". Nazi is just a shortened term for it, as "National" in German is pronounced [natsi̯o'nal].. so sounds like Nazi

Others called them Nazis, they didn't call themselves that really

In what way does this not make them nationalists?
The term "National Socialism" arose out of attempts to create a nationalist redefinition of socialism, as an alternative to both Marxist international socialism and free-market capitalism.

Just for context, I live in Ottawa and went and checked out the protest at its peak this past Saturday (more out of curiosity than support).

Did not see one racist flag or nasty act in the roughly 4 hours i was walking around.
All in all, it was pretty festive. People BBQing, tunes, beverages, fireworks, canadian flags and a whole lot of honking.

Apart from that one retarded women dancing on the tomb (willing to bet she had no idea what the monument was) and the two flags the media keeps showing, it's been pretty peaceful. Not a single arrest as far as I know.

Two cents.

Apparently the Panthers are open to trading Owen Tippett... young RW kid with upside. Wonder what it would cost.

Were you really arguing semantics over whether they called themselves nazis or not? Unless I'm missing something? I think the point was that there are clear parallels between the branding and lines of thinking, not naming conventions

Are you dumb... thats not what retz said.

He said "didn't they call themselves nationalists before they called themselves Nazis?" Fact is they called themselves neither...

I didn't argue anything about definitions. If you were the slightest bit informed you would be able to follow this simple discussion like NYN has...

I don't have a dog in this race but even if a half dozen idiot Nazis showed up with their flag, it wouldn't represent tens of thousands like some on here are suggesting and pressing....

It would be like seeing someone waving a Flames banner at a Canucks game and some tard claiming the building is full of Flames fans instead of Canuck's fans. In reality it's just Nucker....

Our so-so right winger(talking hockey, not politics), will cost 7.5 million on a QO, doesn't skate well, doesn't play physical, whereas Tippett is going to get maybe 1 million, skates better and is a bit more physical.
If I am not mistaken he also kills penalties.

What ever...

My original post on the subject mentioned people don't know the difference between conservatives, nationalists and white supremist... people prove that day after day in here with the hyperbole...

You want to see full scale nazis on the march... go to Ukraine when they celebrate their national hero from WWII Bandera. Right Sector, Azov and Svbota number in the 10's of thousands and win seats in elections. These are real battle hardened nazis. FBI has sent warnings to all police agencies in USA warning of neo nazis coming home to US more radicalized and with battle experience from the front lines in Ukraine. What people in here call nazis are right wingers/conservatives for the most part or the Christian Right.
