It actually can but it is a clean slate. Miller is our best player and moving him can make the forward group inept . Not saying it will but it could. Moving Garland also multiplies it. I like Schenn and Burroughs and the team has really tightened up on goals against.

Hard to complain against the record since Boudreau came here. The comments before were wait and see but the crowd really is anxious to forget about the wait .

I don’t think it can get worse than the previous regime. It goes further than just transactions. It was pathetic leadership with no long term vision and a bunch of poop excuses.

It can go from that to a mediocre/average front office which would suck. I’d like this team to have a front office that other fans envy. Nobody out there was like “damn I wish we hired Benning, or damn maybe we should poach Weisbrod and interview him for GM”. I do see plenty of fanbases wishing they had hired Zito as GM.

Once you get to the point that your staff is being interviewed for higher positions in other organizations, that’s when you’re doing things right.

schenn has been good (both times he's been here.) i can see why he's getting some trade interest.

i'd trade OEL and/or myers because i think they're actually playing decently right now. it's their contracts and their relative ability to keep up their play that makes me want to trade them.

just like i thought before benning was fired, i think this team is a couple years away. in 2 years, i'd rather be out from under OEL and myers. that's a lot of money to play with.

Looking to the future, great minds...

The D is playing well/much better this year. However, most of the team's defenders aren't really "great". Now, they can't all be great, but imagine if the team had a few top tier defensemen. They would look that much better. The GA would probably stay the same, but the ability to get the puck forward, transition, and score would be improved.

I agree – if you can move Myers or OEL (even though they are both playing well right now), you should. Because when they're actually ready to compete, those contracts/players on the downswing are going to be prohibitive to building a better team.
