For all the respect people demand Rutherford's diverse hirings should get, so far very few people talk anything but Rutherford when it comes to trades and the direction of this team.
So much for faith.

I don't want to carry on with the political talk, but I find it funny that a certain group, still crying about who won a democratic election and some are demanding a change in government, all while that same group has same major issues going on internally within their political party.
Hearing from a couple of my Friends from that group, they believe this is the C.R.A.P. all over again, because some aren't getting their way within the party.
Their biggest concern and all of our biggest concerns should be, can we handle another 10 years of Trudeau?
That is one messed up political party,. As the opposition, they are supposed to be the checks and balances for the government, yet they can't even keep their own house in order.

Didn't Allvin just officially start his tenure the other day. Pretty sure I read that somewhere. |

To be fair, Allvin joined the team in person what, yesterday? Sort of hard for people to get to know the guy off the hop Plus, he's a relative unknown compared to ol' Ruthy. Doubt Friedman even has his number.
And, as Ruthy said, it's a mentoring relationship. Wouldn't be at all surprised if they tag team this initial TDL |

Apparently Pearson and Podkolzin in for tonight, assume someone is getting sent to taxi or minors |

We'd be golden if we could get more offense out of OEL. I like how the guys are adapting to Shaw's style. I think the advantages of him having worked with Ian Clark in Columbus are beginning to pay dividends. Goalies and D seem far more cohesive than anytime over the last 10 years. - Load Management
Maybe produces more offence when his role opens up. Currently asked to be more steady in a shutdown role. His best partner has been Myers. Needs a different partner for dynamics & allow him to jump up into the play. |

We always knew JR wasn't going to be the GM. It's not yesterday's development.

I think Allvin will be looking after the smaller deals, like Motte or Highmore, Or a depth defenseman, while any big trade, Rutherford will have Allvin sit in on. |

OEL is just a higher paid meyers minus the toughness. - RealityChecker
Idk if you watch the games but OEL is physical & very steady. |

Just poking fun, as mentioned it's something I've gotten a lot in my life
Also, to be fair, he brings it on himself |

schenn has been good (both times he's been here.) i can see why he's getting some trade interest.
i'd trade OEL and/or myers because i think they're actually playing decently right now. it's their contracts and their relative ability to keep up their play that makes me want to trade them.
just like i thought before benning was fired, i think this team is a couple years away. in 2 years, i'd rather be out from under OEL and myers. that's a lot of money to play with. - RealityChecker
You cannot say gut the D & money will fix it to being better. C’mon that’s lame & a witch hunt. |

First of all Allvin has been with Rutherford for years but lets say he started yesterday. Secondly why is JR in a hurry ? He has another two months to see what is what . I believe TDL in March 21 st. Plenty of time for Allvin to warm the GM chair. |

I am not sure the coaching staff wants a defense that is always playing(pinching in) in the offensive zone, at least not with this group of forwards who have shown they aren't any good at covering the defenseman. |

I like that JR is a gunslinger but he doesn't have my trust yet. I see a bad drafting record, but his trade history is debatable . I sort of laugh when I see comments like collecting draft picks when all he did in the last decade was sell sell sell draft picks. - VANTEL
I’m neutral leaning towards optimistic. Idc about past teams when history doesn’t mean the present given our team. How about wait n see bro. |

In general, it's a safe bet to never trust any politicians. All parties seem to have more flaws than good qualities and their fair share of wackos. |

If you don't care about the past bring back Benning.
As far as the wait and see BRO . I am one of the few ones on here saying wait. |

Like anyone on here, I have no idea if he is in a hurry or not. If he is in a hurry, maybe another team has put an offer down with an expiry date.
Maybe they see or hear about a toxic player in the dressing room, or maybe he just likes the offer on the table, if there is one. |

Similar to Hughes, I think OEL would excel offensively if you give him a Tanev-esque partner. He has been steady but not producing enough in the points dept. |
