If you don't care about the past bring back Benning.

Been so long I forgot about Hamonic, it will be interesting to see where all this speculation goes as the team continues its push for the playoffs.

I personally like a defensive team, now if the damn forwards could take over games just think where the team could be.

- Makita

Non entity is Hamonic. Yes nice if secondary scoring happens & consisently.

When I went to school in Victoria I was told constantly by BC locals that I was from Whitehorse. If I corrected them they would say "A colour and a thing, it's basically the same". Our education system is in a sad state

It's a disgusting display of racism, anti-Semitism and desecration of national monuments. It's an orgy of selfishness. Attacking a homeless shelter soup kitchen and defecating on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is not a way to garner sympathy.
You keep crying for your freedom on the beaches of Mexico.

Is JR the GM? Mixed messages

That was aimed at Nighthawk.

No but he said he’ll be involved in big moves many times. Also said PA does all the day to day biz.

I don't have a dog in this race but even if a half dozen idiot Nazis showed up with their flag, it wouldn't represent tens of thousands like some on here are suggesting and pressing....

It would be like seeing someone waving a Flames banner at a Canucks game and some tard claiming the building is full of Flames fans instead of Canuck's fans. In reality it's just Nucker....

You cannot say gut the D & money will fix it to being better. C’mon that’s lame & a witch hunt.
- Nighthawk

Firstly, I was kidding about the OEL comment but you're overplaying his toughness.

When I say that the team should get rid of OEL and Myers, I don't mean at the same time or right at this moment. I think they should take a good deal if presented on either and try to move both in the next season+.

And when I say they'll have lots of money to play with, I don't mean to go out and buy UFAs. What I'm saying is that the team needs more breathing space cap wise going forward. If they want to add in the future, the money has to come from somewhere. It's more about cost opportunity: can that cap space be allocated better. This team can be good in a couple of years. They need to shape the roster so the team peaks at the same time.

We always knew JR wasn't going to be the GM. It's not yesterday's development.
- boonerbuck

Sure, but Allvin was officially hired 5 days ago, gave his first press conference that day, and joined the team yesterday in person. It's taken Ruthy over a month to get a read on the team and people in place. Do you honestly think Allvin, whose never been a GM before, would come flying in, message all the media about his direction for the team and what sort of players he was going to trade or trade for?

"Very few people talk anything but Rutherford when it comes to trades and the direction of this team" because right now there's no one else to talk to about it. Allvin is not a known commodity. And Rutherford is the President, so he helps set the direction. Clearly people are going to talk about him

The past left when he was fired I leave it where it was. Time to look forward to the Preds game & let trades happen come as they surely will. I’m waiting & expecting this.

Like anyone on here, I have no idea if he is in a hurry or not. If he is in a hurry, maybe another team has put an offer down with an expiry date.
Maybe they see or hear about a toxic player in the dressing room, or maybe he just likes the offer on the table, if there is one.

- Reubenkincade

If true I like it asking for best offers now. Sets up for guidelines & creates a market bigger & sooner. Timing of a trade doesn’t matter if one is offered that we want.

Canucks gave up the 9th oa pick for Garland, so it would have to be a 1st and 2nd coming back minimum.

I wonder if these trades could possibly work

Lundell + Tippet for Miller with retention

Laffy + 2nd for Garland

Kappanen + 1st for Boeser
