Hawks are pretty horrible. They need to blow it up. Move Kane & Fleury.
- Nighthawk

Move Kane? Getting paid $7M with a cap hit of $10.5M. He’s got one more year and then probably retirement. He ain’t being traded. Fleury would be a great pick up for a contender looking for solid backup.

My tinfoil hat theory is they made the big Fleury/Jones/Keith trades to divert attention from the off ice stuff.

He looks like he doesn’t care, I think he’d welcome a chance to play for a contender as long as it’s an American based team

Did someone post that Garland requested a trade?
- bloatedmosquito

Not that I've read/seen/heard, but repeated rumour reports on his potential availability

A lesson in humility. Play for your team mates.
- Nighthawk

Back in the day that lesson would've been a bag skate in front of those teammates. That usually cured the issue.

👍
I am sure Bruce would have preferred to just deal with that issue, without having to deal with the media asking about it

- Reubenkincade

If the reporters didn’t ask about it I would have been pissed. That’s the questions they should ask and coaches and players should answer. Keep it hockey related and focus on what’s happening on the ice.

That was me just speculating based on his frustration with covid restrictions

That's abuse dude, shaming somebody in front of their peers.
Probably get time for that , at minimum, a public flogging

In my day I’d be in his face myself. Stays inside the team not for the coach or the media to deal with or answer to. If he doesn’t eat humble pie then he’s free game.

I've already seen Petey take a late hit and get his foot kicked out when he didn't even have the puck. Guy gets abused whether he's scoring or not

He’s always looked like he doesn’t give a poop. That’s what pissed me off so much. He’s so good but such a punk. But I agree, he looks disinterested. But is that attitude or just age/health?

Funny, he assists while I write.

Not in my book, all the good scoring lines in the NHL have two guys who can carry the puck through the neutral zone, one puck carrier is easy to crowd. A 3rd wheel who's good along the boards and in front of the net is fine though. Like Killorn in Tampa.

The roster construction as it currently stands, as well as the state of the AHL team is absolute hot garbage. Trotting out a 3rd pair defence of some form of Burroughs, Hunt, Poolman and Schenn (who to be fair has been decent) is freaking laughable. Alex Chiasson has played most games. Justin Dowling has gotten minutes. They have 2 absolute boat anchor contracts in defencemen who on a really good team are a 3rd pair (able to play 2nd pair minutes in a pinch). I’m sorry but that’s not okay for an NHL team who has playoff aspirations (beyond squeaking in and becoming cannon fodder for Colorado or Vegas).I know Canuck fans in general tend to overrate their own players but I’m not sure how fans want this team to improve WITHOUT making some bold moves.

Watching the Chicago feed. They think Kane has that “fire”. We’ll see.

even by his standards, he's really coasting out there unless the puck is one his stick.

I bet he'd look like a different player if he got traded to a better team, needs some motivation
