The entire hockey world knew it would be different. For a variety of reasons. Congrats on predicting that the sun would come up.

The more i think about this team we should blow it up, but i would do something many here probably wouldnt.

I would resign risto 6x5, and then trade Sanheim who has the better trade value.

I trade Yandle for a bucket of piss( so i can dump it on his head).

Braun is the one that hurts, this is the type of player you want your younger players to learn from but hes worth at least a 2nd rd pick so sadly he goes.

Forwards i trade all except for farabee anyone is available for the right deal, and i play the crap out of my rookies the rest of the year and see which ones have potential and which ones we move on from(rub comes to mind).

This team is built wrong and had been for years, it starts with patching holes with UFA who dont fit into what team needs are. Our GMS have just suucked at there job, anyone of us wouldve been fired by now but these useless people continue to have a job.

Sad that fans know what needs to be done, but the clueless idiots at the top are so blinded by there desire for ticket sales and arena money they just dont care about the team.

Defense needs some things tried during the rest of this season…Sanheim or Ristolainen paired with Provorov on the 1st D pairing or York with Ristolainen.

Let’s look at this logically. What is the plan for next season’s defense corps? Continuing contracts include Provy, Ellis, Sanheim and York. So that gives us…

Provorov - Ellis (inj.)
Sanheim - ?
York - ?

It is hard to find physical RHD so says Fletcher. They are considering re-signing Risto. How come the Flyers have not tried any other combinations for any real length of time to fill the hole with Ellis out. The plan going into next season has to be better. Is Braun returning? Fine but not as the 1RD or the first fill-in at 1RD. If he can be plan C or D for that slot, okay then. It makes no sense to keep Risto if you can’t use him as plan B for either 1RD with Provy or with York if Sanheim is elevated or misses games. Deciding if he and his skill set is a keep, should include some evaluation time with other logical future partners.
As far as Sanheim goes, if they need him to be able to play the right side in a pinch in the future, then now is the opportunity to get games learning to do just that. He has done it before also. If he can get it going on the pairing with Provy, it open options up for the future. It’s a solid investment.
If you say trade Sanheim or Risto or Braun. I need to hear what plan B, C and D is for Provy’s pairing. If you say trade Provy, I need to see the same plus the plan for 1LD including back up plans since few are as durable as Provy. I would not trade Provy.

Now that I think of it, there was a timei thought the Sixers would relocate once Harris bought the team. He also own the NJ Devils and I think the Sixers were technically paying Snider "rent" to play at WFC. I'm pretty sure the Sixers wanted their own building at one point.

Not surprised. Most teams would. Its a lucrative piece of the pie, especially when fans are pouring in.

I wish there was the equivalent of shareholder activism on sports team boards/management. Activist investors harness the discontentment and channel it. The last part is critical. I think sth can express the discontentment towards Flyers, but unless it it is targeted, it may actually serve to give the message that the team should simply try harder to be relevant.

That last shot with the glove save from Hart. The Flyers are so predictable. Every D zone faceoff win they go up the wall. Teams are waiting for them. How about a reversal and some mis-direction? It's easy to see how every opponent the Flyers play are a better coached team.
