I just had the PTSD from all those conversations when I saw comcast put up the Ovie, Conner, etc, DeBrincat chart - 2Real
I went back and looked at that 2016 draft. Those kind of drafts are franchise killers almost as much as missing on Patrick. If we didn't get Hart.......

1. agree
2. In the case of Comcast I disagree - the Flyers are a nit, a rounding error, in their consolidated numbers. If they wanted to do it, they could, relatively pain free as far as Comcast investors are concerned.
3. probably, because I don't think Comcast really cares all that much about the team
4. yes, they may have to do something because they do rather enjoy the little entertainment complex they have going on there and do want the fans to show up in sizeable numbers to pay exorbitant prices for beers and snacks
5. yes - get a "just good enough" team to keep the fans hopeful for "next year." Unless/until there is an ownership group that really cares about winning, this won't change
6. CF, were it up to me I'd be looking for his replacement as we speak; CG, I'm on the fence - not sure what kind of return would be worthwhile; RR, if he goes, fine; if he stays, fine - Scoob Agree...Comcast and whichever executive they demote to run the Flyers will never care enough to run the team competently, unless your aim is "good enough"

I don't see this as the issue. The team wants to spend to the cap. From the recent press conference, we heard that the Flyers are expanding and adding more to various departments such as analytics, player development and scouting. I believe that they have a budget to work with that is probably one of the largest in the league. It's not comcast that is the issue. It's the decision making in the hockey department.

His glove has always been decent. Last year when he lost confidence that aspect of his game also went off the rails. I think the norm is a solid glove. |

Flyers 2nd period woes continue ... Winnipeg one of the worst 5 on 5 scoring teams in the league but they look good against the Flyers, no surprise. |

That was a shift that clearly demonstrated one of the Flyers biggest problems over the past two years, that first pass from the defense to the forwards, its disastrous most of the time. |

Shhhh ... you can't comment on how bad Braun is, remember he is a warrior that is playing up in the lineup. |

I think the word “warrior” is thrown around too much. Jason Smith was a warrior. Ian Laperriere was a warrior. Guys like Scott Laughton or Justin Braun have never earned this label. |

Second time in this game that a Flyers has had his stick slashed in half when Ristolainen was along the boards and no call. |

We've both watched this team meander aimlessly for at least a decade now. Sometimes good enough to make the playoffs, sometimes not. Never good enough to be really a threat. If these results were from a product they cared about they would drop the product or fire the staff that runs it. I believe they want to win, it'd be a more fun toy. They haven't demonstrated the skill to select a staff capable of doing that for virtually the entire time they've owned the club
